I said PIKE, stupid boy...Ian Lavender, Private Pike deid at 77. Dads Army was quite funny back in the day.

I've seen a fair number of French wartime comedies from the same era with some of their biggest actors and Dad's Army smashes the ball out the park.

RIP.
 
I think my favourite Private Pike story was when he developed a strange habit of unconsciously pulling faces.

Another thing, I always assumed it was a West Ham scarf he wore. He was a Brummy after all, prolly a Villa scarf.
