Ma laddies iPhone 6s chucked it, the home button packed in, he was able to get it working short term but clearly repairs needed. The phone is over 4 years old so don’t want to spend a fortune getting it fixed.
A few phone calls and quotes of £69 “as long as there’s no other issues”
Called Hex in Tollcross and got a quote of £39, mentioned the battery might be fucked due to age, and got a quote of £65 for button and battery.
Arrived at said shop and the guy mentioned screen was cracked and might need replaced too as part of the repair involved removing the screen, that would move the goalposts and price would be £120 all in.
Went back and picked up the phone,
Charged £65.
Guy managed to carry out the repairs without any extra costs.
Well impressed with, not only the original quote but not charging me more when he clearly could have !
Hex seems a great wee business and recommend it highly.
