Spurred on by your poached egg reference in another thread I went through to my kitchen to make one. My phone rang and as I was talking to my mate I thought hailstones had started. I was looking out the window and couldn't see any but I could hear them. Bemused, I turned round to see water pishing from the top of one of my kitchen walls. The hailstone sound I was hearing was the water bouncing off my kitchen floor.

Turns out the upstairs neighbour had her washing machine on and by her own admission "Her sink filled up with water when she started the machine" she let it run though and clearly there is a blockage so the water found the path of least resistance down to my flat. Having turned the machine off, the waterfall feature in my kitchen was abating but I still got her down to witnesss what had happened in case her landlord starting getting arsey.

Had it not been for you mentioning poached eggs I would have been sitting in my living room oblivious to the near catastrophe delevoping in the kitchen :raisehat:

Holy crap! You're, er, welcome?

Did you poach the eggs, but?

Sorry mate I should have dealt with the more important part of this scenario in my OP. I didn't have a poached egg for lunch in the end but in my defence, by the time I had mopped the floor and dried the wall down with a cloth, I couldn't be arsed so I may revisit that today :thumbgrin

Okay, try this:

1) Ingredients: twa eggs, twa bits of bread, an avocado, some posh cherry tomatoes (and I stress posh - you need the flavour, pay the £1.60 or whatever), chilli flakes.
2) Bash the avocado up in a bowl. Cut up a bunch of cherries into four. Dump in bowl. Add a generous dod of chilli flakes, salt and pepper, mash up together.
3) Poach thae eggs.
4) Toast that bread, butter it, spread the avocado mash half on each slice, a freshly poached egg perched on top. A healthy grind of pepper.
5) SCRAN.

Cheers for the culinary tip.

I've been through to my kitchen to have a look [I haven't really because I know what's what ] and I am only lacking Avocado, Chilli flakes and Cherry tomatoes from your list of ingredients. I'm not going out so it's a non starter :giggle:
