Turning down Millwall is an interesting and unexpected development as its not as if he hasn't had the best part of the week to think about it then goes and throws them a deefie at the last minute.šŸ¤”.

The agents might regret that "focus on Hibs" part of the statement because if there is now another club sniffing around with 3 days of the transfer windae left then the last thing Ron, "Corporate Ben" and "the laddie" want is Johnson selecting £2million worth of beef for tomorrow's tough battle.

"Hamstring feeling a bit tight Kev" or the old standbye of "not mentally focused" is the normal euphonisim.šŸ¤”.

It just another twist in what should be a fascinating team sheet once its revealed as there are intrigues and decisions to be made all over the pitch.
Great post. That's it in a nutshell.

I actually think he has made the right call. Joining Millwall wouldn’t progress his career imo. They’re not aiming for promotion the way Watford are.

Reckon he’s decided to ā€œknuckle downā€ and get a better move in the summer. Wait and see what happens between now and Tuesday though.

I doubt he’s failed a medical. What’s more likely is that he’s been tapped up for a better move in the summer.

It can only be a positive for us, he’ll want to keep his form up to secure such a move.

Assuming he’s still a hibs player on Wednesday….

I think it's more likely that he had a good look at Millwall and thought "Fuck this for a game of soldiers" and got the next flight back here.

Do we think he’ll play today then, or what? Surely he has to if available?

does the fact he flew back to weegieland rather than Edinburgh have any influence in where he might go ?

I would doubt it. Glasgow's only an hour away from Edinburgh so it's not as if he has hours to travel from Glasgow even if he does live near Edinburgh.

Players, even if injured, rarely fail medicals. The results of medicals are used to aid in the evaluation of a player (transfer fee + wages) & length of contract to be offered.

It could well be that the fee negotiated by Hibs didn't leave enough in the pot for the wages that Nisbet is after.

Remember, up until now Milwall's record transfer is reckoned to be "only" £1.5m. Nisbet was a huge deal for them.
That surprised me. I ken they're not a huge club but always assumed they'd be no strangers to the odd £2-3 million player.

Couldn't agree more mate. Always had the look of a club happy enough bouncing around the championship

LJ just bullshitted his way through another interview basically saying Nisbet failed the medical! That and ā€œthe prize is go to through 3 games in the league undefeatedā€
