Scary at how many people were involved

"and to date has resulted in 461 arrests,"

"Ms Ritchie said: "We do not believe that what we have uncovered in Newcastle is unique. Indeed there has been evidence of similar offending in many other towns and cities.
"We believe that any area that says that it does not have a problem is simply not looking for it and I would encourage all areas to be be proactive in their attempts to uncover sexual exploitation."

Newsnight got themselves tied up in knots over it tonight....asked in an all Muslim panel in to discuss and offence was caused or taken right left and centre. Partly due to the way they'd tried to not offend anyone...

It’s peculiarly cultural how these people take offence at the line of questioning more than the severity of the offences themselves.

Yes and to say it doesn't matter because it doesn't affect Scotland is to dismiss and bury heads in sand. The attitudes are learned behavior. That is not to say we do not have probs here as a report stated most white brits commit offences via the internet. Funnily enough I don't feel offended by that statement. Things hopefully will change and accountability will come before political correctness....I hope

I'm glad police are getting on with shutting these operations down instead of turning a blind eye. The last thing anyone wants is another Rotherham.

Exposure of these arseholes and hefty jail time will hopefully be the deterrent needed to stop anything like this happening in the future.

The BBC look like they went out of their way to get 2 male, 2 females all Muslim on the panel. One of each was more traditional in their outlook, one of each were less so. First thing the more traditional ones asked was why their were no white non Muslims on the panel...Evan whatshisface was tying himself in knots trying not to say the wrong thing...which inevitably he did. More western male and female both argued that there was a south east Asian attitude to women that was archaic. He asked the other two if this was right and they said no. Very uncomfortable all round...
