Sky have offered 100 million for a three year deal to show Scottish football. I wonder if BT will come back with a better offer?
It's still not much compared to the EPL is it?

Sky coverage – Andy Walker………………………. please no.

I much prefer the chat on BT to the inane gibberings of Andy and Charlie, although I don’t actually watch much TV football. Game highlights is the norm for me.

What I’d like to see included in a deal is a fairer share of the cash distribution.

It always seems to be that the main beneficiaries of cash coming in to the game are the Bigot Brothers. Perhaps a fairer way of apportioning cash would encourage more competition rather than concentrating on strengthening the Old Bigots for their dream move to the EPL.

But of course ‘we need a strong Rangers’ in Scottish football don’t we. We get that drummed into us all the time by the huncompliant media and blazers. After all, the game collapsed when the Huns were shut down. Crowds collapsed, interest faded……….. etc etc.

er................... no it didnae.

Twats.

I'm intrigued.

£33M split roughly equally across 12 teams £2.5M

That could make a bit of a dent in the gap between Celtic and the rest, but is a drop in the ocean in Celtics revenue.

Some of the cash will go to lower leagues and grass roots football.

I think the income from Sky & BT combined is about £21M

It does seem undervalued compared to other leagues of a similar 'stature' from a graphic I seen, posted on here I think.

Each EPL club nets just under 40 million per year.

The fact that we accept that 10 clubs are put at a massive financial disadvantage every season before a ball is even kicked defies belief. Does this happen in any other sport/league/country? (Honest question)

I’ve seen that it’s likely all going back to Sky, for around £30m.
