Maybe we can't terminate Bursiks loan deal or were struggling to bring a goalie in.

Let's be honest no *&*^ is taking a chance on McKirdy especially after his heart scare.

This is 2025.
There are no Latapys out there nowadays.
We're not in the market for Haaland or Kane or Salah.

Analogy?
We're a decent pub darts team, looking for new players who'll average 60-odd and maybe check out in 18 darts now and again.
There are hundreds of those out there.
If I'm darts captain, I want a guy who works 9 to 5, has few family commitments and who'll be available. Not a guy who works nights and has bairns, who'll be unavailable a lot of the time and will be a late no-show on other occasions. A point or two on the averages makes less difference than availability.
In my view, we need to stop signing players who have commitments elsewhere.

I want the Hibs squad sitting in front of the TV, watching Ing-Er-Lund lose to Iceland or Norway in international breaks.
Not using pack mules and turboprop planes to get back from Laos.
