Maybe not, but I suppose it's quite amusing that a Premiership club's secondary shirt (sleeve patch) sponsors have been convicted for large scale dealing. We getting any context here?
14 years was the going rate for dealing smack in the 80's. I remember a dealer telling me the threat of that amount of time and the methadone programme virtually got rid of the stuff in Edinburgh.Aye, I ken Polis Glesga had plenty of video & statement evidence against Martindale (& presumably crate loads on his boss Alex Donnelly), but Martindale was only "bang to rights" on possession of 2 kg. The other evidence against him might have merited a defence, with a good barrister. Martindale got 6-&-a-half years.
The headline figure is 120 kg in the case of the two Motherwell idiots. Aye, there's likely no admissible evidence that would get the pair convicted on the vast majority of their deals on that quantity of charlie - and Alex Donnelly, who got 10 years on that occasion, may have sold close to that amount of heroin & cocaine over the years - but the 'Well radges still "only" got 6-&-a-half years.
It's 20 years since Martindale was done.
10 years before that, Mark Renton, who knows almost as much about heroin as Simon Williamson knows about Sean Connery, reckoned 2 kg of heroin was worth 10 years in Saughton.
The country's gone soft, man.
Tae the dugs!
No wonder Genghis Khan & Vlad the Impaler are doing so well in today's elections.
Bring back the cat!
And the rope!
And National Service.
Legalise it.Anyone with even an ounce of that shit and are dealers should get 15 minimum.
The fuckin scourge of society
