Nisbet scored every 93 minutes for Hibs last season which was remarkable and it was always going to be impossible for a club of our financial profile to effectively replace him for the transfer fee received and so it proved.

Hearts and Aberdeen will experience the same issue when Shankland and Miovski move on.

Shankland only has 16 months left on his contract and like Nisbet his transfer value will be adversely affected by that.
Miovski has 28 months left on his contract so they should get a substantially larger fee for him in the summer and that may allow them to purchase a better quality replacement.

Vente is what 700k get you so Aberdeen probably need to spend north of a million quid to have any real chance of bringing in a decent replacement for Miovski and a guy of that value will demand a large salary.

Miovski just edges it for me. Shankland is a decent goalscorer but he's slower than a week in the jail. Miovski could easily hold a place down at either of the mutants I don't think shankland could.

I agree, think Miovski is a better all round player but Shankland is a better finisher

Shankland is a modern day Kris Boyd. He'd do well for rangers domestically but would struggle on the big stage in Europe where as I think miovski has shown he's more than capable of doing it on both stages.

Both of them are on 22 goals this season so you really couldn't go wrong with either in a team. You'd expect them to reach 30+ by the end of the season. As long as they don't get anymore against us!

Two players at very different stages of their careers. I don’t think either player was out of our reach when they joined their respective clubs, however we were too busy taking punts on Melkersen and Mueller.

I’d take Shankland, only because it would be hilarious.
