Sending off a bit soft but I don't think Maeda staying on wid have made much difference. There's still a lot of time yet, it could end up 6 or 7.

They are a different class, shows how much they underperformed at Darkhead. By the way their new stadium looks like a space ship, we visited the old Caulderon when they were building the new one, their museum and trophy room was OOTW.

Your right it was, we were at the RM game and it shook and bits did crumble !. My son actually picked up a piece of fragmented concrete, of the over 100 stadiums I’ve been in, that and the old Valley Parade were death traps, as Bradford became.

Pretty much exactly what I have been told - wish I had have gone but AM only. Even in my life since 2019 ( around the time they stated to knock the VC to the ground - I saw it over months ( driving to work and back ) being broken down - although at that moment I had zero connection to AM ( only having seen it on sky sports following a euro night - pundits telling the viewers what an atmosphere and intimidating ground for away teams and fans ) I think my team in madrid was always gonna be AM ( f all interest in RM - bore the F out me ) Rayo V would have been my only other consideration ( but that didn’t need to happen as one game at Wanda and that was enough )

Griezman was head and shoulders above everyone else on that pitch tonight absolute class. Atleti should be there abouts in La Liga real Madrid and Barcelona aren't the best they've been over the last few years plus Barca basically don't have any home games - probably depends how many referees are on the payroll though

He certainly was mate though I will say the referee ruined the game with the red card, was never a red in a million years but that's the rules these days, football is so shite in 2023 eh 😂 we need to get that var and the non contact rules in the bin and bring back the sport we love.

Agree - when you see the still image you knew it was going to be a red card but that was never a red card for me - it was Celtic though so a lot of folk will have no other opinion that it's a red because of that - it was just his momentum and he tried to pull out - foot down and studs weren't showing. The atleti player got the outcome he was looking for though sure he was fine a couple of minutes later.

I'll tell you one thing had it been the other way around and it was the athletico player making that challenge i don't think he gets sent off. There seems to be a weird bias against Scottish clubs and the national team by uefa at the moment. Still it was funny as fuck and I hope they're all seek as fuck this morning 😂

Mind atleti used to bring him on after about 60 minutes each game to avoid paying Barcelona a certain fee 🤣🤣

Don't think it's Scottish per se it's just the big countries get the decisions it's the same all over the world at club and international level - Barcelona/real/juventus etc all get them - money makes the world go round!

Face didn't fit at Barca, much like David Villa. Absolutely among the elite, but just didn't click.

I would put it down to weight of expectation of the Barca fans. When you look at the players they've had over the last ten years if you don't hit the ground running i could imagine them turning pretty quick on you. Both those players mentioned are world class mate, athletico are right in the mix these days and could easily win the league this year as Barca and Real haven't had the best of starts.
