One of the best Jazz pianists of all time has just shuffled off this mortal coil at the age of 81.His career spanned almost 60 years.He's best known for working with the great John Coltrane Quartet.If you don't know their work can I suggest you try out A Love Supreme,an absolute masterpiece.

I have a couple of his LP's. Saw him about 20 years ago in London. Wish I was old enough to have seen him with that giant of the tenor saxophone Coltrane. Though John on saprano here.
