Maestro Cards On Paypal

Trying to buy something on eBay, and the payment has to go through PayPal. Got to the checkout, filled in my card details, and got to a field titled "issue number". After checking my card and doing a bit of googling, I find that some Maestro cards (which I have) don't come with issue numbers. My card is one of those. Now I have emails from eBay pestering me for an item I have enough money for, and want to buy, but can't.

Can anybody help? This is the first time I've used both eBay and PayPal.

You shouldn't have to input an issue number. There's usually a 'security' or 'ccv' number option as well as the issue number option.

The ccv number is the last three digits of the number on the signature strip on the back of the card.

If your card doesn't have an issue number,it will have a 'valid from' date instead. Used to be a problem (my card doesn't have an issue number, and I used to have to use my credit card for websites that didn't recognise this....), but now most places seem to offer a choice?:dunno:

put the issue number in as 0 or something. Always worked for me anyway.
