Get yourself an app.
I've got Meteor Shower Calendar. You get notifications of them, help to find them in the sky, links to wiki among lots of other information.
Similar to this there an app that allows you to follow Elon Musks Starlink satellites, will pass over Edinburgh about 9.40 tonight.. basically a chain of 30 ish satellites visible with the naked eye
