Is this these rumours about him messaging teenage girls on social media?

Screen grabs of a Snapchat conversation apparently between Leigh Griffiths and a 16 year old girl have been getting circulated on Twitter.

The content of the conversations is sexual and pictures have been asked for. This is illegal if the girl is under 18.

The girl in question has been identified as playing for Hearts girls team.

No press reports yet. All info is social media and fan forum driven at the moment.

How could anyone be that stupid? I know he's no the brightest, but if I was in any sort of public eye, I'd be paranoid as fuck about everyone being out to stitch me up from the get go.

I think it is a stitch up tbf. As you said knobody is that stupid.

Looked like it originated from a Hun Tweet so my suspicions treble instantly.

Is the age of consent different for sex chat and pictures compared to the physical act?
 
I can't see the op as on ignore but based on the thread content can say it's not made up by huns. That doesn't mean it's true obviously but it's claimed to be true by individuals involved.
 
Screenshots I've seen are her sending him pictures and being the forward one.
Hes playing daft and playing along, but is he supposed to know how old she is? She doesn't look like a 15/16 year old.

Not tryna make excuses for him, but its hard to tell any of that nowadays, makeup, filters and the rest.
What's the chances he even asked her age? 🤷‍♂️

It would be perfectly legal for him to meet her and have sex but he could end up on the register for her sending him a picture. That's a bit fucked up.

Depends on how you look at the law, I guess. If the age of consent is there so 16/17 year olds can legally have sex with their boyfriend/girlfriend if they choose to but this law stops any fully grown adult asking any young teenager for nudes then it seems ok to me.

It's a bit like how you can join the army at 16 but have to be 18 to buy Call of Duty for your XBox. It seems related but its not really. One thing is the rights of the individual the other one is protection for a large group.

Papers aren't reporting it properly though.
They're quoting everything she said as if it was him.
The screenshots are from her page, so everything on the left hand side came from her.

Looks like she is only 15 though, not good for him.

Whether it is true or not..some people are going to have a field day and if he is already prone to depression opposition fans wont let up on him. Career could be over if so. Hopefully it is all rubbish
