23 year old highly rated Northern Irish striker who plays for Larne.
Hoping to make his international debut for Northern Ireland away to Denmark and home to Kazekstan over this week-end.
Hibs meant to be considering a move and will decide over the international break, however some English clubs like Derby, Birmingham etc all interested...as well as other scottish clubs.
Larne looking for around £300,000.

Lot of money for that level for us to gamble id say?

Are the NIFL champions going to be any worse than a Scottish Championship team? I'm just thinking of the Nisbet purchase being a similar figure. If he's getting an international call up it suggests he's pretty exceptional for his league.

Aberdeen haven't declared their interest yet. They must be holding off for now.

You pays your money and you takes your chances!
He could be the best 300k spent, or a complete waste of money.
He could sign and get injured in his first game.
That's life.

Working with 2 guys from Northern Ireland one a linfield fan and other a Larne fan
Both say he is some finisher not finished article but has the potential
Larne paid 100k for him that is some outgoing for a Northern Irish team

We are going to have to gamble on young players in most cases....that's the reality.
Players who are the finished article tend to be signed up by wealthier clubs and then they move higher up the ladder.
Case in point is someone like Van Veen. 32 years old just had a great season in the SPL.
What's the point in him moving to another non Old Firm scottish top flight club for a slight increase in wages, whereas he could move back home to Holland or down south for a far bigger wage increase ? At his age it will be one final pay day.
Our challenge is to find the next Griffiths, Van veen, Nisbet, McGinn etc before anyone else sees them...that takes good scouting and proper assessments of players.
Hope McDermott is getting that important part of the structure of the recruitment process sorted.

boy would get pelters on here if he doesnae score a hatrick against the gunts first time oot.
