Some quick conclusions:

Persisting with a system that clearly didn't suit Mallan & Allan was madness

Doidge hasn't scored in 577 minutes in the league, Kamberi has managed 1 goal in 661 minutes YET Oli Shaw has had 30 minutes.

but

goalscoring hasn't been the main issue - as I said in my just back, if we had been able to keep even a couple of clean sheets in recent games we would have won and he would still be in a job.

Goalies - league only

Marciano has conceded a goal on average every 36 mins
Maxwell a goal on average every 63 mins

There's some really easy fixes and quick wins for a new manager coming in.

Any defensive stats?
Tackles or %'s, areas won is something we need to look at.
I can't imagine we win much outside our own third. But goals created will be from balls won outside our third.

Nothing so detailed, it's something I'm interested in doing but you really need to watch a video of the game to compile that, there's too much going on to record it accurately.

If I find anything on the web (or if anyone knows where such lies) add it here :)

It does, but even taking that out he's still at 54 mins per goal.
I see that's League games only. How does it compare in every competitive game I wonder?

Rocky played 7 conceded 13. Clean sheets 3.

Maxwell played 11 conceded 18. Clean sheets 2.

This popped up on me Twitter feed (apologies for the “source”) from a retweet. Shows another way to look at things.

That’s really interesting - first thing I take from that is either Motherwell have unearthed a gem or he’s on a good run of form that won’t last forever....

our goalkeepers have been meh

The fact Heckingbottom did not properly build from the back and did not ensure that the team had a solid spine to it is for me the biggest criticism of his time at Hibs. The first priority for any manager at any club is to ensure that you are hard to beat. Basic organisation, and ensuring everybody is clear about their roles in the team. The amount of goals conceded this season is clear evidence that he failed in that most basic of tasks for a football manager. I hope the new manager sees this as his first priority.

The biggest fuck up was the exact same as last year. Wether it’s down to Hecky, LD or the recruitment team is a mystery, but again we started the season with only two recognizable forwards and Oli Shaw. Same shit, same results.

Oli Shaw didn’t start a single game under PHB.

I’ve heard this brought up with football department before.
Of recent we’ve went with 3 strikers as the 4th choice will rarely (if ever) get played - Shaw as 3rd choice just now proves that a little.
Shaw fits as 3rd choice (talent, experience and budget) and pushing to be 2nd if not more. If you were to move him down to 4th you would limit his development chances to near nil and might consider loaning him out (thus back to 3).

I kinda get it but you’re a signing misjudgement, major injury or complete collapse in form from leaving yerself way short on what’s needed to win games.

Hibs v Motherwell
