No "Group of Death" - having five pots does that.

Having #1 & #2 seeds and everyone else in an open draw was more fun.

It's a total pile o shite.
😂...as many St.Mirren fans commented when losing on penalty kicks to Arbroath in their opener last July.

I prefer the groups to straight knock-out ties that were scarcely any better attended. For those who fancy a day out in decent weather, a couple of July trips to the likes of Elgin, Annan or Brechin beats going there in January rain for a Scottish Cup tie.

As for the League Cup overall, we've won four trophies in my lifetime. Can't be a lot shorter than even money that I'll see another one😐. Without the League Cup, 2016 would be our only one😳. Next spring, it'll be 75 years since the last League Championship win.
I think "The Tornadoes Team" are always listed as that same XI because it was the line-up that beat Celtic in the League Cup Final.

I'd likely still rather win it again and finish 7th than finish 3rd and go out of both cups & Europe early, but I suppose finances dictate that 3rd place & UEFA money would be preferable to a League Cup win these days.

Was it not roughly the same team that played all season?

I can recite it (and the subs) without thinking (not thinking being a talent I have honed over the years) but I'd have to think a bit before naming another Hibs Cup Winning team.

Not that there's many.

Played together 21 times I think.
