So by now, most of us know last man fouls aren't a thing anymore. As long as its an actual attempt to win the ball.
So yellow and a penalty usually given nowadays.

Well, the rules changing again to include tackles outside the box!
You can now foul a player rushing through and get away with it ?

"That has now been extended to those fouls which happen outside the area, with players no longer receiving a booking for illegally halting a promising attack.

It means we are entering a golden age for the ‘good foul’ though midfield enforcers should be wary that dangerous and/or violent offences will still carry a card punishment"

There never was a ‘last man rule’. Did my fcukin nut in when ex players went on about it. Imagine playing professionally and not knowing the fuckin rules.

That's ridiculous, an intentional foul should always result in a booking!

It happened in the Everton Southampton game on Thursday night, would have been a straight red a few years back but Saints player stayed on and the free kick came to nothing. Shite rule change.

Was it Peter Grant who chopped Kano down outside the box near the end of a game at Parkhead around 30 years ago?

Clean through, blatant red and given.
Remember thinking we were never scoring from the free kick.

Update:
Found a match report but the kiddies rule set to change Celtc to Smellies won’t give a valid link

The defender probably got a touch on the ball. :mixed-smiley-030:

Once folk figure this out its gonna be a free for all, that'll be the end of good quality counter attacking football.

Another change I seen is that referees will now be able to consult a monitor during VAR, Pierluigi Collina taking control of all VAR instead of each doing it in house.
And that there needs to be daylight between a forward and defender to give an offside decision.
No more of the nonsense seen in England this season.

Wouldn't mind it staying away up here, although I wouldn't mind some goal line tech.
