I've been talking about this, taking the kids there, for ages. Another Frutin inspired choice, I've been looking into Lake Garda as a destination and jesus it's beautiful. Has everything you could ever want, I reckon.

Anyone been? Any general Italia trip tips? Are the women there as amazing as I imagine they surely must be?

Aye, been there a few years ago, Limone Sul Garda near the top of the lake on the west shore. Stayed at the Leonardo DaVinci hotel where a few weeks previously the cast and crew of the 007 film Quantum of Solace (either that one or Casino Royale) were staying as the car chase was filmed just a few hundred yards down the road.
It is very hot and you get some belters of thunderstorms. You can take the many ferries to all the other resorts and visit Verona or for the kids there's Gardaland at the bottom end of the lake at Peschieria(sp?) it's a big leisure park with loads of rollercoaster stuff etc.
The food as you would imagine was fabulous, even the hotel where it was self service and looked like a canteen with unlimited beer and wine.
