Anyone been? Thinking of going there for a week but mind boggling amount of accommodation options. Looking for something in or close to the Old Town but not overly noisy. Been to Gdansk a couple of times and loved it so want to try Krakow now.

Great place for a break.
Good cheap beer.
Must visit the Salt Mines, Cathedrals carved underground by the miners in their spare time, and of course the camps. Brace yourself for that.

Went last year, beautiful city. Plenty bars cheap beer lovely town Square.
Must visit the camps, mans inhumanity to man indeed.
Seeing how they suffered makes you wonder how they can treat other (palestinian) people the same way

Went in 2014 for a city break...in fact that was the last time I travelled overseas,
Totally scunnered as I became with travelling abroad.
Anyway it's a lovely city to visit.
Do the camps visit although as has been said, you really need to prepare yourself for it.
Salt Mines are good to visit as well.
Some good bars around the main square.

I stayed somewhere in the old town, just short walk from the square, which is well worth a visit and a couple of Tyskies.
Very picturesque.
Hotels are very cheap from recollection.
