Yes I would. Even if it meant starting in the old div 3 or 4 to start with. We will have a fresh and exciting adventure and a chance to build crowds due to games against different competition. Yeah, I'd welcome it

Here we fucking go again, huns and Soapies into EPL shitedanni

He's missing one glaringly obvious point where he says about the top 4 SPl into the Championship and so on....

The huns aren't in the SPL any longer :bye:bye:bye

I liked this comment under the article.

"Oh Dear, another fine mess you've got your self in Ollie!
Perhaps you should get up to Scotland more often! ' The' Rangers, as they are known, after the previous club called Rangers went out of business, are not in the 'top 4 SPL clubs', or the next 4, or the next 4 after that, in fact they're not even in the SPL! ' The ' Rangers are in the lowest Division of the Scottish Football League."

Quality.

I think I recognise his style......:shhhh

A lot of fans can't arsed with the travel involved in away days to Inverness, imagine a 19.45 Friday night KO away to Plymouth. That would test even the most hardcore supporters.

Excellent point. Hibs fans moaning were more than Aberdeen fans were because a semi final c45miles away at Hampden was starting at 12:30 on a Saturday.

It would just encourage even more armchair fans.

I was moaning because I was coming from Wakey.....

said in the past I would. there aint no money in Scotland and same old boring grounds to visit

And admitting all 12 SPL teams into the English divisions

Wouldn't the names need tobe changed to accomodate Scottish teams. the epl would have to become the ukpl for a start because it wouldn't be The English leagues anymore it would be uk leagues.

Not as far as Wakefield Hibby, but I was up sharpish to get the train up to ER in time. 12:30/12:45 is just awful no matter where you live in my opinion for football. I'm surprised anyone is even taking this article seriously.

I honestly wouldn`t want Hibs to play in that circus down there. Celtc and The Rangers though can fuck off any time they like and leave the rest of us to get on with our competition.

Lot of pros and cons to consider if it ever became a realistic possibility, the above being one of many.

Regarding away travel, I'd be interested to see figures comparing Scottish and English club's percentages of fans who travel to away games, given the often closer distances involved in Scotland. I've always felt that north of the border there is more of an expectation, for want of a better word, of being able to watch your team home and away. Most football supporters I know here tend to just go to home games, with a few closer away games thrown in occasionally perhaps, i.e. Nottingham-Sheffield etc.

A spin-off for Hibs I've always felt is that with Edinburgh being a top tourist destination, many fans of English clubs would be tempted to make a weekend out of a game at Easter Road. I certainly think Hibs' crowds would swell. The Capital's team(s!) would stand to do pretty well out of it in that way I'd suggest.

Is this a new tactic from the MSM - get the 'Diddy-clubs' on side for a UK league ??. It'll never work as it would move the bias from Glasgow to London and THEY would never allow that to be taken away from them !!

Plus, a UK-League' would give the green light to those countries who want the 4 home-nation teams done away with - ok, Scotland are gash but the future is at last starting to look promising thanks to Harry getting bulleted !!

That's fair comment but it must be dependent upon which team you follow.

By that I mean that manure fans or chelski, arse and citeeeh fans for example might follow the team away more often because they have a decent side to watch. Not suggesting for a minute that Nottingham Forest are crap but, well, whatever it is i am trying to say i'm sure you will agree :gaga:

If it's not to be a UK league with ALL current Scottish teams in it from all four divisions, then how in future can this ever change? Each year there will be a new best Scottish team outside the ones already admitted, perhaps better than the ones first chosen for the English league.

I know what I mean anyway!:lookaround::fyi:

Must have been a slow news day-sportwise - yesterday in Englandshire.

Celtic and Sevco can leave anytime for me.

It may sound appealing to some due to a change of teams we would face etc. but after years of playing in the lower leagues in England it would turn into the same auld shite eventually
A successful hibs team may manage at the lower end of the championship but no better, there are bigger teams than ours in the divisions below.

With travelling distances to away games increased so much our away support would vanish, especially to unappealing games versus teams in southern England for midweek games

We radically need to shake up Scottish fitb a not worry ourselves with trying to enter foreign leagues

Btw dub, what makes you think that the FA would change the names of the league just cause a few Scottish teams entered? They aren't called the England and Wales leagues at the moment?
