Strong rumours that it's gonna be John Collins and Tommy Craig at St Mirren. Bookies have suspended betting. I will be seriously gutted if this is true.

suspended betting on Tommy Craig. although the rumours are that JC will be involved.

It was Craig's high recommendation that brought O'brien to Hibs.....nuff said.
If JC was ever to comeback to ER I would want another man to work with him as is assistant, I always thought it needed a different type of character, and I am only going on my very limited chance meeting I had with the two of them..... And he brought A'OB

Aye, we were getting Ivan Sproule on a motorbike we were told. Well, we got a bike but there was certainly nae footballer riding it.

I still get a fright when i think of that hopeless tool.

Currently plying his trade with the mighty Hungerford Town in the Southern Football League premier division.

Practically all of Collins signings for Hibs came through Tommy Craig's contacts and recommendations. That was one of the main problems with Collins time as Hibs manager, he relied far too heavily on Craig. Collins had been out of the game for so long before getting the Hibs job had lost touch with many things and the fact he had no previous experience as a manager also meant that he had to depend very much on his more experienced assistant.

FWIW I think this is a good appointment for St Mirren. They need experience in that managers chair and they need stability. Craig will still have many contacts in the game and should stabilise the club and get them regular mid-table finishes which is about the highest St Mirren will ever get in the league.
