Wonder where that leaves Daryll Horgan who for me is a natural left sided attacking player the same as Newall ?..

Anyway, welcome to the Hibees Joe.
I would agree as that seems his best position though he has done OK at times playing just behind the main striker and with probably 2 years left on his contract Horgan will be hanging around anyway.

This hopefully now ends the Kamberi in left midfield experiment which was always stop gap and which always gave a guaranteed scowl on Kamberi's puss of varying degrees of pique.

The next piece of the jigsaw is that PHD seems to prefer a variation of 4-1-4-1 with just the lone striker so PHB needs to decide whether he fancies Kamberi in that lone role.

He is the best we have on the books but can PHB trade Flo and find better as Flo does seems to play better with a partner up front.

Tough call and I think he will be showing Kamberi a clean slate and hoping he can adapt and rediscover his motivation and form from his first season.

Agree with most of that, however Kamberi cannot play the lone striker role and neither can McNulty or Shaw for that matter. I think Hecky will be bringing in a strong striker who can play that role in the team and well as giving us a threat in the air...something we have not had for a long time.

I think he will try and try and keep on trying but we operate in a very limited market place in Scotland plus lower end of English Championship and top of English 1.

Even then you still have to find someone out of contract and who also wants to play in Scotland.

Flo is the make weight here if he can be offloaded for a fee then that extends the options possibly abroad.

I am surprised he isn't very good at this lone role in the first place as has the stamina and upper body strength but seems to lack awareness of others and his abysmal first touch kills him every time.

Watching the highlights of Newell...He seems pretty capable with right foot also.

Fletch used to frustrate the hell out of me...as could only use left foot.

I’m not sure we will go for that target man type of striker, and not sure we necessarily need one, not as a first choice anyway. Those type of players are never mobile enough to effectively close down and press from the front, which I gather is something PHB wants the team to do.

Flo can certainly do that job, as can McNulty. Both have got the technical ability to link the play, and will thrive or more through balls from midfield.
