Jeremy Corbyn was in Leith Friday. He was at the Kirkgate and signed the Save Leith petition(sorry if that's not what it's called exactly). I missed the whole thing, a mate saw it. made it into Scottish tv.
CHOOSE JEZZA!

Leith voted overwhelmingly to remain in the EU,don't think they'll be voting Pro- Brexit Corbyn anytime soon....

North & Leith constituency: 57,099 votes - 78% remain (44,618); 22% leave (12,435 votes)

Corbyn voted remain, he has said as much many times.

I don’t think so,I’ve never heard him once argue against Brexit.

Corbyn was on Good Night Britain just the other night and was asked by Piers Morgan how he voted he said "remain". Morgan then put it to him that he was anti-EU to which he replied that there were a lot of aspects of the EU he has always been critical of but ultimately he was against leaving.

I though it was refreshingly honest answer from a politician.

It is honest but he’s still not arguing against
it,which is what folk are looking for i think...

On Brexit, Corbyn is damned if you do damned if you don't. For me Brexit is fixing the wrong problem. The problem is the government's obsession with austerity and how Corbyn is paralysed by the right wingers in his party. Any country is stronger in Europe, the problem is the EU is run as an elite business club.

I must have just missed him,I signed the save leith shops petition and noticed the labour party standing aboot putting up the red shelter thing, I thought what are they up to?But didn't ask; anyway my mum and I repaired to poundland.
If I had met him(I voted Brexit BTW)I would have asked him, does he believe in devolution, yes or no? If it's a yes, then why did he and his cohorts sit on their hands when Ian Blackford and his chums walked out of the commons?, seeing as Donald Dewar had done the same twenty years ago. I'd also ask him;,seeing as he supports the rights of nations such as the Basque's Catalonians, and Kurds to have their own autonomous country;,and seeing as he might support John Maclean and James Connolly before him, why he won't back Independence for Scotland,? and if he ends up back in the better together camp, how he sees himself ever getting into government down in westminster without the backing of some 50 odd Scottish Labour MP's?

Corbyn doesn't believe Scotland should have her independence so he can fukk right off.

He was there to help gordon munro kick off his campaign to win the seat back at the GE- they seem to think it's the SNPs second most vulnerable seat? Corbyn pretty much talked about The NHS and how the Tory party are decimating it at Westminster.

I was approached by one of his 'men' and asked my opinion on Jezza. Told him i thought he was a good man but his speech was misplaced- for obvious reasons. I quizzed him on Brexit- was the day after JC had appeared on TV with the peoples champ and next PM Danny Dyer ( Brad Welsh to replace Mundell)- and the guy pretty much talked down to me for 5 minutes on the complexities of Brexit and how JC had laid out a cogent plan. When the flaws in the plan were pointed out by a simple travel agent plying his trade in the face of significant problems, I was advised it was very complicated for the lay-man to comprehend. I thanked the condescending wankstain for his time and advised he move along.
