I have never been convinced a return to Hibs would be a good thing but maybe Hibs have lost their chance now. Two goals against Liverpool it doesn't get much better than that. Good luck to him. A great football match by all accounts.

Im sure Forest are thinking the same! He missed his chance, not us. I wish him well but he didn't end up at Shrewsbury by chance.

Delighted for him.

He is exactly what we miss!
He knows where the onion bag is an oozes arrogance.

No matter what people say....he just scored 2 against the world champions!

Earning an absolute fortune for his club in the process.

Well done Jason.

He is a nutter

Watched the match and as ever he does what he does !!! No world beater by any given imagination but he knows how to score goals.
Had the arrogance to just come on and demand the penalty and then tucks away the second with composure!!!
The boy is a striker of the old type who thrive on being the centre of attention and to be fair he’s good at it too.
Will never pull out a worldly but very much in the mould of a McCoist who knew where the net was.
I personally think that is exactly the type we need right now yes his arrogance can be infuriating but we’re in no position to pass on this sort of player so would I take him back ? Yes in a heartbeat, do I think he’s ever likely to return ? No because as it is I believe he’s out our reach big time !!

He probably earns more with Shrewsbury Town than Hibs could offer.

Scored a pen and a good solo goal against Liverpool reserves. Gòod enough for what it was.

If he ever establishes himself as a player who has learnt how to link up with others and consistently score goals in a reasonable standard league I'd be genuinely surprised.

Cup legend though. Good lad. But naw. Leave him where he is.

The boy's a character right enough.
Had to feel a bit sorry for him, spent Christmas on his own with a 'meal for one' - was invited to the Chairman's for Christmas dinner but thought the microwave special was a better option.

His interview post match was class though!

Love the Cumdog - he's a bam but doesn't seem to be any badness in him. Seems to be good for the dressing room too if his post match interview is anything to go by. I'd happily take him back, we do have a love of bringing back former player so why not Jason.

More than capable of a worldy. Scored some for us.

However I agree, was screaming the whole time he was here about how he is a built poacher. Really quick over those 5 yards and is truly a one touch finisher.
His problem though, was he came through with Griffiths and Stokes in the first team, both ball players and capable of all sorts of wonderful things. He wanted to be that, he tried to be that and it wasnt where he was best. Looked his best alongside Holt I thought, the big guy really took him through games, subtle but so effective.

JC said he loved being at Hibs and would have spent the rest of his career with us if he could.

Loved that Al Shearer can be seen enjoying his second goal against pool. As a cup legend can only wish Cummings all the best.

I wonder if the publicity following his double, and subsequent interview, will lead to the Oz team manager having a wee look?
His mum is an Ozzy and he would qualify for a cap there? Or do his appearances at under 19/21 for Scotland prevent selection?

He’s got 2 caps for Scotland already.

Wouldn't have been unhappy if we had signed him again. Although he's played in some big games since leaving us surely he must accept that the grass isn't always greener - should've stayed on.

Best of luck anyhow ya mad bastard!
