Germany have had enough, Italy will eend everyone back. Scandinavian countries shutting shop. Lucky Britain still take anyone who comes. Course with borrowing through the roof, good luck to economy
All you need is a neo-fascist Prime Minister like Meloni in Italy's case. Quite a high and dangerous price to pay I'd say.Germany have had enough, Italy will eend everyone back. Scandinavian countries shutting shop. Lucky Britain still take anyone who comes. Course with borrowing through the roof, good luck to economy
Only in this country do we say these immigrants are coming to soak up our benefits, houses and the like.Germany have had enough, Italy will eend everyone back. Scandinavian countries shutting shop. Lucky Britain still take anyone who comes. Course with borrowing through the roof, good luck to economy
I was reading that Starmer is maybe interested in her approach. All you need is a neo-fascist Prime Minister like Meloni in Italy's case. Quite a high and dangerous price to pay I'd say.
I hope you’re not implying that continental Europe is somehow more welcoming or tolerant because that is very much not the case.Only in this country do we say these immigrants are coming to soak up our benefits, houses and the like.
France nailed our problem a few deaths in the Channel ago.
They said they come here because its so easy to get a job, illegally. They stay under the radar (that means avoiding the NHS and other more social benefits, not the money kind). Even if they're caught they're not locked up or sent back, or even processed in any meaningful way so within hours they'll be back working in the black economy.
And in the AFD case, anyone who isn't 25 generation German...........All you need is a neo-fascist Prime Minister like Meloni in Italy's case. Quite a high and dangerous price to pay I'd say.
Starmer was having discussions with Albania for such a deal, not sure how far that got, problem is I can't imagine most immigrants would settle for being dumped in a place they don't want to be.I was reading that Starmer is maybe interested in her approach.
Because in most of Europe it is much more difficult to vanish into the black market and be off grid due to having to have an ID card to do anything.I hope you’re not implying that continental Europe is somehow more welcoming or tolerant because that is very much not the case.
In any case, does anyone say this? It’s the humongous legal migration that is the problem with housing and services.
There must be a few new suits in it for him.I was reading that Starmer is maybe interested in her approach.
Mibbes hoping they will go for a Burton. There must be a few new suits in it for him.
I suspect that's a big part but even if we had ID cards and were required to carry them the UK just doesn't have the manpower or the physical capability of dealing with the problem.Because in most of Europe it is much more difficult to vanish into the black market and be off grid due to having to have an ID card to do anything.
I get the feeling much of this is somewhat overblown.I hope you’re not implying that continental Europe is somehow more welcoming or tolerant because that is very much not the case.

It’s rooted in a lot more than that, though I’d agree that emotionalism over rationalism is at the heart of a lot of it. Europe doesn’t work, it is kaput. And in the AFD case, anyone who isn't 25 generation German.......
Blood and Soil. Always ends up there eventually.
Most of the UK problems are basically rooted in incompetence, underfunding, lack of planning, lack of any joined up operations, lack of monitoring, lack of political competence (everything is under the political games flag so no actual, proper work can be done), refusal to work with other countries in a grown up and pragmatic way, allowing the loudest pillocks to dictate policy rather than people who might know what they are doing even if not politically popular or popular with the Daily mail (one of the biggest British failings)........
And the biggy, inability to look beyond next week and a total religious adherence to short termist thinking.
Is that all? Make people react EMOTIONALLY rather than rationally is the only game in town everywhere.
Her rhetoric before winning was neo-fascist but has she been in government? All you need is a neo-fascist Prime Minister like Meloni in Italy's case. Quite a high and dangerous price to pay I'd say.
Not as far as I can see, nor even her critics can see, as far as I’ve read. Her rhetoric before winning was neo-fascist but has she been in government?
Neither does the UK. Or any country really, just spurting from one side of the road to the other and occasionally wavering about the centre lines before veering off again like a drunk driver in a Vauxhall Cavalier on a dual carriageway.Europe doesn’t work, it is kaput.
Sorry, I was including the UK in Europe. It is absolutely kaput.Neither does the UK. Or any country really, just spurting from one side of the road to the other and occasionally wavering about the centre lines before veering off again like a drunk driver in a Vauxhall Cavalier on a dual carriageway.
Still rather be in Europe than pretty much anywhere else though. It will take a lot to shake that as even with the compromises and less than stellar governance and despite climate change still a reasonable climate and there are no mad dangerous snakes and evil spiders.
The previous 2000 years pre the 60s were not happiness and flowers and sugar either. We will see.
The Tories used it as a distraction from the vast legal migration that the treasury absolutely wanted, which was why there was no serious effort to curtail. Labour are the same but more so. The tories wanted cheap labour and an illusory gdp bump, Labour want the same, plus new voters to replace an inconvenient working class. You're not allowed to call it illegal migration anymore, it's now 'irregular migration'. The situation is crazy considering not that long ago the Tories were standing at a podium with 'Stop the boats' plastered across it. Now with far left Labour in charge it's suck it up as we can't do anything - migrants have human rights. But sod the rights of the UK tax payers and the people suffering in the country.
There's only certain groups of migrants are allowed to vote in the UK.Labour want the same, plus new voters to replace an inconvenient working class.
5 mill ? Seems unlikely unless they're illegal or under 18.There's only certain groups of migrants are allowed to vote in the UK.
One pressure group, wanting all British residents to be allowed to vote, estimates 5,000,000 migrants are not allowed to vote in UK elections.
I'd suggest your point is therefore unlikely.
I googled this and it seems that this applies to people who aren’t UK citizens. Quite the vast right wing conspiracy. Millions more have gained it since Blair decided to remake the demography of Britain for, I’m sure, entirely altruistic reasons. There's only certain groups of migrants are allowed to vote in the UK.

From memory it's estimated there are 1,000,000 immigrants here that shouldn't be here and of course because they have no right to be here are not entitled to get anything.5 mill ? Seems unlikely unless they're illegal or under 18.
Why does everything have to be a conspiracy?I googled this and it seems that this applies to people who aren’t UK citizens. Quite the vast right wing conspiracy. Millions more have gained it since Blair decided to remake the demography of Britain for, I’m sure, entirely altruistic reasons.
It was a joke, although the underlying point is there aren’t draconian measures dictating that ‘only certain groups of migrants are allowed to vote’.Why does everything have to be a conspiracy?
Ethnic minority votes are not the same as migrant votes, but it’s the closest proxy I’m aware of. Votes are very much not evenly distributed, as I think Tony Blair may have anticipated. He was quite the student of the US Dems for whom this is a long standing mechanic. And with a bit of spin from dark actors on the internet you thus have suggestible sorts like Ryan believing in a great replacement theory. There's around 10.7m folk resident in the UK born abroad. It would seem only half take up residency.
I'm quite surprised it's so high. I'd have thought a higher percentage would be coming here for a few years then going back to their own countries. From professionals, like NHS people, coming here to do a stint, folk from 3rd world countries to make a quick buck to set themselves up when they go home, to students who'll bugger off when they get their degree.
A wide spectrum of people who are likely to vote across the spectrum ... although probably not reform!
Prove Climate change! The reality though is that it isn't coming to an end. Climate change alone will see many heading here...
FFS we can all see the climate change. We all experience it.Prove Climate change!
30 years ago we were told there was an ice age coming.
Same people making money from their investments...When the gullible fall for it.
Exactly. Yes try ger global warming down.. but bankrupting the country wont help. Particularly when we then import goods we won't produce here., causing more gases from transportationFFS we can all see the climate change. We all experience it.
My scepticism is whether we can do anything to stop it. I think China is opening 4 coal mines per day.
I'm not for making ourselves poorer.
We can all feel good about ourselves patting ourselves on the back as we stop producing but just import.... Madness.Exactly. Yes try ger global warming down.. but bankrupting the country wont help. Particularly when we then import goods we won't produce here., causing more gases from transportation
