How did UEFA rig it?
Scotland has a long history of rigging cup draws but David Wills lives on. Today, Real Madrid (in pot one) watched the draw with interest. In the second pot, the draw reached the stage where Man City where fifth out the hat. This left two Spanish sides and Borrussia Dortmund. The sixth stage of the draw which, presumably, puts Borussia to one side and draws from the two Spanish sides to decide whether Sevilla or Barca will join Spartak Moscow’s group,
Not as smart as drawing the only non SPL at home in the quarter finals of the league cup but no bad :detective:
 
Hmmm. I've read through this post a few times now and I'm still none the wiser what's going on, or indeed what skulduggery is being alleged?

Any explanation/deciphering is appreciated.

The draw was a farce,teams from the same countries "paired" to suit tv. Basically the big teams have got a bye...
 
Given that you can’t be drawn against a team from your own country in the group stages, that dramatically reduces the number of possibilities.
 
The whole champions league set up is a farce. It's designed for the richer to get richer .
The biggest farce is when you are knocked out , you join a lesser completion half way through its competition.
The whole point of a cup competition is when your out , your out . Goodfukcinbye.
I'm glad Hibs have the honour not to get involved :thumbgrin

The champions of every league , and them alone, should only be allowed to compete for the European cup. And any club paying a player more than 2 million a year, YES a year, should be barred from entering under the joke that is " fair play"
 
Apologies for creating some confusion.
I personally found it amusing that the CL draw reached the farcical situation where three teams were left in pot 2 but two of them could not be drawn against Real Madrid (Sevilla and Barca). Therefore, they must have taken the Borussia ball out of the pot before the sixth round, put it back in and taken the Spanish ball out for the seventh round and put it back in for the eigth and final pot 2 round.

Might be bollocks to some but I thought it was funny.

would be nice if the few hundred other clubs had the balls to make a stand

Hasn't helped. Maybe if Champions League was mildly interesting but none of the decent teams (Hibees, PNE) are in it.

The CL is simply now a money making excersise for UEFA and clubs from certain leagues. It`s set up that way. It`s not a fair competition for all so i rarely watch it now. It`s become a farce.
