I've not been far this week, and it's Easter Road on a Sunday for a change to save the orc fans venturing out their houses. I did notice that they have been dispatched from Europe. Oh well.

The away end will have less orcs and more good guys. Great initiative from Hibs, keep it up.

They have been on quite a run domestically, but you know, you just feel it's not really justified with their team. It all feels a bit flimsy. A right good performance would give them a run for their money.

As usual they've been revolting this week on their European trip about their treatment by Portuguese police. They always seem to compare and contrast how things are down abroad compared to Scotland

I've not really followed their key players or star performers but I did catch the moon howlers phone in going on and on and on about James Tavernier not playing. BORING. I'd play him.

I can't not mention the departing hero Keiron Bowie. A cracking player who scored some magnificent goals who wasn't here for long enough. We couldn't turn down the money offered though, I hope we re-invest it wisely. All the best Keiron, it was a pleasure.

So, we currently have three new signings, a midfielder and two forwards. A sports journalist friend of mine who happens to be a Spurs fan immediately texted me to say how excited he was for Dane Scarlett coming to us - an excellent striker who just needed more gametime at Spurs. Kai Andrews and Owen Helding look excellent additions too.

A bit of a stab in the dark here, but I think we'll go something like this:

Sallinger
O Hora - Hanley - Rocky
Chrissy Cadden-Barlaser-Chaiwa-McGrath
Helding
Captain Scarlett-Boyle

Youan should be in there somewhere, but I just can't fit him in.

The additions should help strengthen the bench

I've assumed any of the mainstays missing are injured

We need a much better performance than our previous toothless efforts v the Cinnamons and a reaction from Saturday. Something closer to the best performances we've done this season. I've a funny feeling we'll get it too.

As always though, that's my thoughts, I'm more interested in hearing yours

O'Hora and Chris Cadden are both out I'm sure.
Along with Campbell, Klidje and Mulligan.
Nicky Cadden is back

Obita for O' Hora and switch Rocky, and probably Megwa for Chrissy then

If Nicky is fit maybe start him, and play Helding from the bench

After the last couple games i wouldnt play Megwa, Gassama or Curtis will cause alot of issues down that side.

Stuck mine down elsewhere, but I think roughly the same.

Sallinger
Rocky Hanley Obita
Megwa Chaiwa Barlaser Cadden
McGrath
Scarlett Boyle
Scarlett wasn't a Hibee when I put this down elsewhere, but he's not here to sit on the bench.
He's far too far along his development for them to let him sit on our bench.
That lad plays.

Bench looks decent again despite a load of missing players.
Megwa is the only option there currently, so he has to play.

I hope there's a change of formation around the corner.
Doubt he's got the bottle to drop it against Hunco though.

I just hope we give it a go against them. They've been utter pish when we've played them before and we haven't laid a glove on them. Not even scored a goal. Gray needs to tell them to get right in about these rancid cvnts. Even if it means doing the Saviles a favour.

Hope the manger changes it up, he’s tried the same thing against the Huns multiple times this season and it simply hasn’t worked.

Sallinger
Megwa Hanley Rocky Obita
Youan Chaiwa Andrews McGrath
Boyle Scarlett

Team looks good. Was hoping to see Helding? I think Megwa has been a decent defender and will have his hands full. Youan is quite a baller hope he's on his game. I think a press will work on Sunday. Come on Hibs!

As hard a game as we could have after two calamitous results and performances.
We have now lost our main striker and our best midfielder is out for two months.
We might see one of the loanees starting, but Owen Elding hasn't kicked a ball since 1st November so I doubt we will see him thrown into this this game a day after signing.

Rangers now scent the league title, and have improved under Rohl who has organised them well and got the best out of some good players who have underperformed big time this season. Now they are out of Europe they will be a tougher proposition than they were.

Hibs just need to give the fans something to get excited about again after two massive let downs.
We haven't beaten Rangers at home in a competitive game for 10 years, but tomorrow I think the best we can get is a draw which would be a good result.

1-1.

SDG said Elding has a full pre-season under his belt so surely he should be fit enough to at least make an appearance? I haven’t watched much LoI football but I imagine it’s fairly physical so he should be able to cope with that aspect of our game too. On the face of it, we’ve signed 3 big strong young lads (albeit 2 on loan) who could give the side the drive required for the remainder of the season, but it remains to be seen whether or not SDG is willing to be less cautious in introducing them.

Oh boy we need a performance. I can’t see Megwa starting, he looked destroyed at Falkirk. I think SDG will, unlike him, put Scarlet in from the start as the team desperately need a lift.
We haven’t beat them at ER for 10 years someone was telling me the other day, which is horrendous and needs addressed. Time to do our friends across the capital a favour 🤮

Would be concerned if Scarlet didnt start. He is up to speed so no excuse.

I think he’ll change the shape tomorrow to 4/2/3/1

Megwa
Rocky
Hanley
Obita

Barlaser
Chaiwa
Mcgrath

Boyle
Elding
Youan

We couldn't lay a glove on them earlier in season when they were utter pish. They have improved so knowing Hibs we will likely pump them now.

I've been a bit surprised by the ' he's not kicked a ball since November' comments that I've seen several times. Training sessions and four friendlies in January alone. Get the laddie on.

Early start for the Mauritian Massive

Watching the game with an old school pal fae Perth who emigrated to Mauritius in September. He’s a Saintee.

Fcuk the Huns

Huns boss Rohl quoted as expecting Hibs to be a 'nasty' opponent. I think we should get stuck in but when did that happen????

Interesting as the last few times we played them we have been weaker than pisswater. However surely some sort of lesson has been learned. Let's pump them today.

That's probs for Ref McDermot's benefit. Expect a few players booked and them getting loads of fouls.

Looks like a team of 9 there mate.

The boy Andrews is meant to be a bit like Triantis in his style of play and he should be up to speed so hopefully we'll get to see him in there.
