Hecky currently finding out the hard way just how huge the jump is from the English Championship to the Premiership.
Frustration coming out, but he probably has a point.
Personally, I think referees are now under so much pressure from the media and the rule makers in football it's no surprise that so many errors are now being made at all levels. IMO we have over complicated a wonderfully simple game with more and more laws to satisfy TV companies, and armchair/TV pundits who think they know the rules of football better than referees do . VAR is the consequence of all this. This is just my opinion...I think it's introduction has done nothing to increase the enjoyment of football as a spectacle.
I hope Sheffield United stay up. They are a good club and it's long overdue that a city like Sheffield has a club in the top flight, but the odds are sadly stacked against them. Heckingbottom is a good coach who was another one who found scottish football and everything that goes with it a bit more of a challenge than he expected.

In fairness...they were never going to dominate.

Had 5 shots on goal,and seem to try hit them on the break a few times.

He's not really suggesting his team should have won though, merely that the referee was appallingly bad.

I felt Heckingbottom thought he was better than the scottish leagues and made some smart arse comments. Johnson too actually. Shown himself to be a pretty good coach getting them up to the Prem and kudos to him. Hope they do well.

Hope Luton stay up but hugely unlikely.
