Massive in Canada but lots of Brits bought a Lightfoot compilation back in the day for the wonderful songs posted above and more.
On these comps he had an annoying habit of re-recording his classic songs and mixing them with current hits which made it awkward to collect the definitive versions. I suspect the less informed purchasers are still completely oblivious to this.

I remember as a kid hearing and liking, "If You Could Read My Mind", "Early Morning Rain" and "Sundown" on radio. All lodged in my head forever.
