Gibralter v Scotland

I know it's just a warm up and all that,
But the half hour I've seen is brutal 😳

Nowhere near the team that will play next week, missed shiteloads of chances too. Should be at least 4 up.

Shankland looks like he's swallowed a horse to catch the fly.

McCrorie making his debut at right back.
Lots of players who need minutes getting an outing including Hanley, Forrest, McCrorie and Clarke

Been like watching hibs at times for an hour. Brutal stuff. To think France put 14 past them not long ago. Shanklands a different player for Scotland than he is at hearts.

Hearts to their credit have worked out how to get the best out of him...ie you create chances for him in the penalty box.

1-0 Scotland.
Liam Cooper looks to have been broken, knee injury

Hanleys shite
McRories shite
Coopers fucked
Shanklands shite
McGinn is mentally off form

I can’t make my mind up whether we’ve regressed, just struggle against “lesser” opposition or a bit of both. Whichever way you look at it is pretty shite form to be taking into the Euros and with a depleted squad already ffs. The irn bru ads are good tho!

Getting pumped by England and Holland would suggest it's no just the lesser teams we struggle with

The problem (as I see it) is Steve Clarke only has 12 or 13 players equipped to play international football (and even some of them are far from the real deal). That leaves him with a fairly obvious team selection and fairly obvious style of play. Most half decent teams will have figured us out now and there's not much Clarke can do about it.

Spot on, we’ve been a bit of a one trick pony for a while and now found out. I was at the NI match (dull doesn’t cover it); we had no ideas to change it up and in the end was pretty easy for NI. That was kind of what I was trying to allude to but your summation nails it for me, sadly.

How the fuck does Ryan Gauld not get some minutes in a friendly like this. Absolutely nowt to lose checking him out. Captains his team, 12 assists, 11 goals. Granted it's a shite league, but then so is ours.

The NI match was a perfect example. My one hope was Lewis Ferguson maybe offering something different but that's not going to happen now.

Che Adams must start against Germany, international level is a step too far for Shankland.

My only hope at the Euros is; against the Swiss and Hungary we won’t be facing teams who will sit in. They’ll fancy their chances against us but aren’t of the quality of England France, or Holland who we've faced recently. I can't see us getting anything in the opener. It's conceivable we could get out of the group with only 1 win - Northern Ireland did exactly that 8 years ago.

It was a friendly...no more than a pre-tournament kick about.

We seriously lack strikers...but that has been the case for many years now.
Shankland needs a strike partner, and needs chances created for him in the box...I just don't think he suits the set-up that Clarke wants in his team.

Is Ross Stewart still injured ?...he must be giving Kevin Nisbet a run for his money as the most frequently injured scottish striker around.

Shankland isn’t an international quality striker, he isn’t even close.

Ché Adams isn’t either, but he’s miles ahead of Shankland.

Wales currently drawing 0-0 with the Gibs at HT. Match report so far looks very similar to ours on Monday.
I think they are playing a totally inexperienced team to be honest. We played much better.
