Aberdeen and Celtic's wins this week have been massively welcome.could be a great week for Scottish football especially with the coefficient kings up next
Aberdeen and Celtic's wins this week have been massively welcome.
The Scottish coefficient is in dire straits after a disaster last season and it's only slightly better this season due to Celtic again not securing 3rd in their Champions League group.
We have dropped from 9th to 10th this season but the big picture is we will lose our high coefficient for season 2019/20 in the summer and that could see us fall as far as 16th when next season starts which is the last place that gets 5 teams.
Celtic have barely contributed for 4 seasons now.
A very unlikely Rangers win tonight is needed for Scotland to add any further points this season. They need to match Pragues result against the Cypriots tonight
Your right. I didn't realise that. The Huns would drop into the Conference if they lose, wouldn't they? Still plenty of opportunities to pick up coefficient points
Think that's Rangers done. Will get cuffed next time out. This can only be redeemed if rangers get papped out 10-0 in the next round and betis wins the conference
Think that's Rangers done. Will get cuffed in the last 16.
Scotland started the week with only 4 UEFA coefficient points but this week have moved up to a respectable 6.2 points, a more than 50% improvement in 2 days.
Fucking hell - is that accurate?! If that's the case, I can totally see why trying to secure 3rd each season is an attainable and attractive goalBeating Real Betis away last night and qualifying for the last 16 of the Europa Cup was a great result for the huns no matter what way you look at it. They will probably lose in the next round but they have done well.
Aberdeen done well to beat Eintracht Frankfurt, and they will have made over a million by winning that game alone and about £6 Million from their Conference League participation. That has to be Hibs ambition from now on in.
The huns won their group so I assume they'll be playing a team that finished 2nd? Every chance they can win that round. They seem to over perform in this competition no doubt helped by 50,000 rabid dugs each home leg, wouldn't surprise me if they got to quarters/semis.Beating Real Betis away last night and qualifying for the last 16 of the Europa Cup was a great result for the huns no matter what way you look at it. Apparently abersheep got 500k for winning last night so assume it's about 170k per point? We'll make £1.7m from next seasons group stageFucking hell - is that accurate?! If that's the case, I can totally see why trying to secure 3rd each season is an attainable and attractive goal
Apologies, This is correct. Not the figure I had said.Apparently abersheep got 500k for winning last night so assume it's about 170k per point? We'll make £1.7m from next seasons group stage
Still a quite astonishing amount for one game imoApologies, This is correct. Not the figure I had said.

Either way it's all good when we piss 3rd place this seasonNext season there won't be a group stage. Not like we know it.
It's massive league table, where we'll play 5 teams.
Top 20 teams move on or something like that
Then the next 12 or something play in a playoff, to then rejoin the competition in the later stages.
Plenty room to make a fortune.
There will also be another payout for Aberdeen.
Prize money when teams draw doesn add up to a win/loss award, so excess prize money gets split between all clubs in the group stages based on their wins.
More draws in the tournament, the more extra money available.
£500k for a win and £250k for a draw, plus gate money and other matchday incomes for home games plus UEFA prize money.Apparently abersheep got 500k for winning last night so assume it's about 170k per point? We'll make £1.7m from next seasons group stage
