How about a government sanctioned corporate takeover? Folk that ken how to run projects / piss-ups in breweries running the council.

But, with the proviso that the goal is social profit not monetary profit.

Party politics is too entrenched and schoolyard-core. These bams need ousted and some proper big boys & girls deployed.

Thoughts?

Lucky we have them big shiny trams runnin up and down Leith Walk and our bins emptied regularly :coffee: Well so long as we keep these wardens who give out 50 quid fines for dropping an end of a roll up eh! I have n idea, why not reduce the limit to 20mph in the city to raise fines.....na money might not go to council...what about extending the parking zones to the bypass and knock down housing schemes 3 years before we build new houses

very nice...getting bewitched on some difficut to figure out website, rather than sitting figuring out how many options to press before talking to an actual person...now we can interact with technology and wonder if there is anyone at the other end ever reading the complaint. What if we get them jambo councillors to spend less time on tv discussin that team and doin some work

It's Edinburgh and Aberdeen city councils that make me dead against the idea of devolving more power from Holyrood to councils.Couldn't run a piss up in a brewery.

There was a perfectly good brewery there before Holyrood got built ;-)

I think everyone knows my views on the council so there's little point in me going over the same stuff pointing out their inadequacies. Fucking useless shower of bastards.

I'll bet a pound to a penny the Tesco revolution at the council, where the staff are sacrificed, is where the actual useful staff are, folk who there to help the citizens of our city get what they pay for and are due. The ones being kept on will be those who raise revenue. Oh aye, and the ones involved in tourism.

Hardly likely if the government in question is the one in Holyrood is it?
