Duel ownership rules

Black Knights were only allowed to buy 25% of Hibs but the Huns new owners have 51%.
Wonder how they’ve managed that 🤔

I think it’s clear that if BK had wanted to buy a controlling stake it would have gone through

They’ve managed it because they’ve asked… Black Knight / Hibs only requested 25%, SFA have never said they couldn’t buy a larger stake.

Didn't they open themselves up to larger shares pretty much immediately after ours went through?

Came out saying on a case by case basis.

What's the deal with Hunco anyway?
51% makes them a majority share holder, not a minority like BK? From what I can see nobody owned more than 13% of them before today? It's not the same kind of deal as ours I think?

Its Rangers the powers at be only care about two clubs, nobody can come between that.

Aye totally different from our set up. BK only ever applied to be a minority shareholder, the new Hun owners wanted a majority stake.

Rangers and Leeds have diff majority owners though 👀🤔

“The SFA’s articles on dual interest state that nobody who is involved in the management or administration of a club, or has any power to manage or influence the management or administration of a club should be able to do so for another club.”

Is the smell of a wide range of stinky fish from the SFA , the Huns and their media surrounding the Hunnery ?

Should the SPFL Clubs lodge a complaint of unfair trading if the % of shares owned breaches the rules ?

I strongly believe the rules over dual ownership will change in the near few years....maybe sooner.
IMO the BK Group will get full control of Hibs eventually, when the time times that the Gordons want to sell.

RE this huns takeover; Can't see Celtic quaking in their boots to be honest...and that's all that matters.
It's the European arena that this mob will be looking at...they are pretty much guaranteed to be Europa League group stage players every season.
They need to catch Celtic though, but for me they are a long, long way from that.

29.9% is the max they were/are allowed to own

Aye that’s what I mean, that percentage was the maximum at the time we requested dispensation, as it’s all we were looking for.

I don’t think there’s anything to say we couldn’t submit a new requested to give BK a larger steak should the Gordon’s want to, especially now Foley is no longer a board member.

The 49ers part of the consortium (Paraag Marathe) are taking no more than 25% of the club, similar to BKFC. The other partner (the Cavenagh part) have more than that, about 26%

Together, it's a 51% stake. and I believe that's how the con-sortium get the controlling Interest? I'm sure someone with a better understanding than me will confirm:unsure:

Prefer it if you just called it the consortium😩
