Anyone know much about The Bridge i.e. recording sets through Serato but playing actual vinyl in the same set? Most of my stuff is vinyl anyway but there's the odd track I only have a digital version. Do you have to download The Bridge or is it already integrated with Live / Scratch? Is it just a case of using THRU for the real vinyl?

Any help appreciated.

Dont you just change the input on the mixer to phono ? ( i do on mine but i dont have some space age isht like you.)
 
That's how it's already set up. Our mixers are though essentially the same, I think. Have you not got the TTM56 or something? Mines just got the Serato built in plus effects and colourful lights!

What I'm trying to figure out is how to I record out of the mixer with two decks into one audio input on the laptop, switching between control vinyl & normal vinyl in the same set without fucking about.

I think The Bridge allows Scratch to integrate with Ableton Live so that Scratch can use Ableton's record function. I'm just not sure how to switch between the two types of vinyl.

My mixer was made before Serato existed, ive got the stand alone box thingy. I used Audacity to record from my mixer, just plugged it into the audio thingys on my old pc but if you are using your macbook i am stumped.
