The amount TrueBlue,no surrender,I hate Fenians and immigrant who posted during BLM carry on that the only person they'd take the knee(god I fuckin hate that phrase)would have been for the Queen seem to have nae issue doing it now for a young man of Polish heritage from a Catholic family.

A few years back, I went over to London when my kid was living there. Just before Covid. I popped in to see her. She had a new housemate. Early 20s. Aussie.
Usual crap smalltalk. She knew I used to live in Sydney. I asked her where she was from.

It is and she was quite well-heeled... for an Aussie.
"Who do you barrack for in the footy?"
She didn't follow it, but said her dad was a big Bunnies fan.
I mentioned they'd just beaten Canterbury, with an aside that Bankstown, traditional home of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, probably still wasn't very posh😂.
She steamed straight in:
"Bloody oath! Full of Bloody Lebos!"
I laughed.
"Are you allowed to call them that these days?"
"Bloody right we are! All my mates call them Bloody Lebos! Driving around in flash utes & pimpmobiles! Dickless bloody macho, sex-pest, wannabe-gangsta posers!"
She had a decent rant.

When I was there, in Paddo, at the southwestern end of Glenmore Road, "Bloody Lebos" were "a thing." They were criminals, but they were semi-civilised and generally had something approaching First World values. They were almost all from Beirut, maybe a few from Tripoli. All spoke good English. Most were nominally Christian. They didn't shoot each other very often.
This seems to have started to change at about that time, when civil war meant lots of Lebanese equivalents of Cletus the Slack-jawed Yokel / banjo-playing / "Squeal like a pig" types, from backward Muslim areas flooded into Australia.
Likely mainly into the Bankstown area.
I've not looked, but I assume "Lebanon" will have a team in this year's Rugby League World Cup, to be played in Australia. Assuming they do, none will have been born in Lebanon.

I just found it amusing that a fairly middle-class young Aussie would launch into a "Bloody Lebos!" tirade at so little prompting.
I doubt things are as bad in Sydney as they are in London, but I've deliberately never gone back to Sydney, just in case they are😢.

The Maronite Christian Lebs are okay, piecefull and don’t usually live in the Bankstown area where the Muslim Lebs are.
 
After the horrific attack in Belfast last night where the attacker apparently tied to behead a local I'm reading that there are going to be mass protests.

I feel this way too.
Said it to a boy years ago about another incident, he argued he would record for evidence, knowing he wouldn't jump in.

Someone else just said that if it wasn't recorded it would end up getting swept under the rug. Not sure he's far wrong anymore tbh.

Fair to say the 17 or 27 or 37, maybe even 47 year old me would probably jump in.

The nearly 70 year old me. By the time I ran up I'd be so out of breath I'd need a rest!

I got the impression also that the person filming was the female. The blokes eventually got it together, after the boy hit him with a paddle(?)

The only Reform person i have interacted with was the local candidate who stood in the Holyrood elections.
He fits that description.

A teacher was stabbed in the neck as he shielded pupils from a 14-year-old girl who allegedly attacked students at a school in Manchester.

The Co-op Academy in Blackley was placed in lockdown and a girl was arrested following the 'serious incident' in a classroom this morning.

A 14-year-old girl suffered injuries to the shoulder while a 14-year-old boy has injuries to his ear. A 27-year-old male member of staff has injuries to the neck.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed the pupil is being questioned on suspicion of wounding or causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Witnesses identified the adult victim as a science teacher, known as Mr Abdullah, who was stabbed as he tried to wrestle a knife from a student.

Five teachers were said to have held the classroom door shut with the armed schoolgirl trapped inside.

Sadly it’s not really a shocker though, Jimmy. Too many youngsters have no thought for the consequences of their actions, on their own lives or those of their victims and the wider community. Can’t get enough teachers, prisons are overflowing, social work stretched to breaking point - this country (and many others) is fcuked unless someone takes the bull by the horns and shocks this generation (and their parents) into taking responsibility for their actions. Starmer says he won’t tolerate it - now’s the time to stop with the words and take hard action.

Starmer is far too weak to do anything mate he is a spineless jellyfish.

I'm no sure what the answer is though.

The violence is getting worse and the folk involved getting younger.

IMHO what’s needed is graphic examples of the consequences of these crimes - victim and perpetrator participation, multi-agency involvement. A “roadshow” of sorts, touring schools, community centres etc and shocking people into thinking beyond 15 minutes of fame.

Aye by the time they form working parties and sub committees and run pilot shows and take out gory photos and hurty words, the 14 yr olds will be running about with Glocks and Kalashnikovs on YouTube and Tik Tok.
