anyone know if its any good and how easy it is to access central Edinburgh or their airport from it by bus/train/taxi?

Its a fab hotel, maybe over priced, and its 5 mins by taxi from the airport,15 mins from city centre in a taxi,20 mins in a bus.

No trains.

3.50 carvery over the road from it is the dugs baws.:fyi:
 
15 mins by taxi from the city centre..... in the middle of the night! Possibly twice as long during the day.. Stayed there with the wife and it was ok. Food was nice in the restaurant. Golf courses are ok, big course (east) is a monster and unless you can hit the ball a country mile it's probably not for you. West course is shorter and tighter with a better selection of holes (IMHO) so is probably more enjoyable.

Must have been a while ago you stayed, as it's greenway all the way to the west approach, you stick to leith, I'll deal with a hotel 5 mins at any time of the day or night from my house .

im still maintain i have never ever owned a pair of gstar jeans ever in my life.

theres no dress code in the hotel apparently but my blue harbour chords and lacoste jumpers should see me looking smart as well as respectable.

bollocks. get yourself some country casuals. I felt quite the monarch of the glen prancing around in my firesale daks blazer oop north this last weekend. lacoste is your the baby squad. let it be, min. the cords get a thumbs up.

ps if not already in the kit bag; this is your excuse to splash on a solid pair of brogues. you know it's the right thing to do.

Nonsense.

Hotel 15 minutes from me but also out of Edinburgh City. Be around 20 in a cab even though its close to the airport? Although a few bounce drivers may be able to strilke you a deal?

I think they may have an airport shuttle?

Are you over when Hibs are playing at home?

no, I think the football will be over as its the Marathon im over for on the 21st May weekend.

Tyson stays 5 mins from me(10 mins from airport and 10 mins from city centre),he is on constant night shift just now,kip in his bed.:rascal:

yeah was talking to him earlier, gonna meet up for a sesh, im not running the marathon, its my wife.
 
An over-rated hotel that needs an upgrade, just about 4 star, the leisure facilities need sprucing up and I dinnae much care for the golf courses either.

I had a couple of burds that he met on holiday about 20 years asking for him a few weeks ago.
They also said something about his dickhead mate with the glasses, no idea who that could be.

TBF most of the older boys all wear glasses now lol,and fit the description.
 
Stayed there for a week a couple of months ago (May I think it was). Had 20 Nigerians over for a seminar. Unfortunately ended up writing a rather long letter of complaint to Marriot HQ in USA. Not impressed at all to be honest. Had a good craic but that was because of the people. Grossly overpriced. Huge difference in beer prices between country club and hotel bar as well.
