Meeting a couple of friends over from Oz on Wednesday night, anyone suggest anywhere nice and affordable to eat in the area? Italian/ Chinese maybe?

M, surely the only place for someone of your standing is The Ivy?

Both chains but if you want value Wagamama and Masala Zone are both in the area. Bit further away, Giotto is a good wee Italian on New Oxford Street. I'll keep thinking.

I like like Malaysian food, I worked in KL, and the people I am meeting are old friends from my time working in Jakarta. More likely I will seek a coffee and bun out for brekky before work on Thursday, but its miles from my office/ hotel????

I'll be there - I'll treat you. And you can buy me a beer at a later date.
Give me a time and I'll make sure I'm there.
I bought the Master Franchise for Papparoti UK and Queensway is the first store.Only opened two weeks ago.
You will LOVE it :))

You could try The Crusting Pipe which is in the downstairs area of Covent Garden, they do a 3 Course Set from the Al A Carte Menu for about 21 pounds or they have a bar menu available as well.

You may even get the Royal Opera House Buskers who regularly perform small sets in their outside seating area.

Sadly my London meeting and all my plans were cancelled by my disorganised boss at short notice. Chavez, will try and make it in to your place sometime soon.

Yeh- check it out- I only float about the site for a few days per week but a "mystery customer" would be welcome for feedback :) Having said that if you fancy the best coffee and snack in London give us a shout. We're almost directly opposite Bayswater tube station :)

Best restaurant ever. Dress casually and has a menu of of great favourites like cottage pie.

The Ivy isn't cheap but I would say much better value than certain Edinburgh establishments....

Any time I go I see nobody famous though did once walk into Dale Winton as he was exiting and I was entering.....

Was it the rear entrance?

What's the name of your place? I'm not over that side of town too often but always on the look out for a decent coffee
PappaRoti 80 Queensway, opposite Bayswater tube station and right next door to MacDonalds - You will fall in love with Papparoti :)
