Halifax v. Anstey Nomads.
"Is that not where Conrad Logan was?" I thought.
Indeed it was. Still is. He's 1st team coach. Seems to have hung-up the gloves. They're in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands. One of 8 leagues at "Tier 8" in England. The F A Trophy is for teams at "Tier 5" and below, so that's an achievement to get that far. The likes of Carlisle and Southend are "Tier 5" this season.
I pay no attention to English football nowadays, never mind at that level. Seems Anstey won at Hartlepool (Another club Yogi took down) on Saturday.
They've flown up the divisions in the last few years. Sitting in the play-off places with games in hand in their current league.
Good luck to the polar bear.
 
Had a check.
They've got through six rounds to get this far, going back to the first week of September.
They're beaten Shepshed Dynamo (a), Bedworth United (a), Stourbridge (h), Stratford Town (h), Bedford Town (a) and Hartlepool United (a).
Still two other teams from "Division 8" left in it, but it's an achievement.

To be fair, he looked in reasonable shape there. I’ll never forget the day he ran out at Hampden for us - we thought Mr Blobby was our new mascot.

Was going to mention that. He looks very much leaner there than his time with us
I guess his success with Hibs had him giving up McDonalds and joining a gym !! 😁
