That's easy.
As Hibs fans have said over and over for the last few years, Americans no nothing about football
.Uruguay and Croatia are the ultimate punchers in World football but generally countries under 10 million struggle to cover all the positions with sufficient quality. Scotland with everyone fit can cover 7 positions with quality but the other 4 important positions are covered by lesser players and that is the difference. The big countries are also more likely to have an X factor player who can pull them through.

This England team have been slaughtered by everyone including pundits, former players, and the media, however they won their group with five points, won the next knock-out game, and are now facing a quarter-final against a country they are miles ahead of in the FIFA rankings.
If they had won every match so far 4-0 and played great football in each game instead of completely underperforming as they have been, they would still be in the same situation they are in now.
I think they will beat Switzerland and they are still my tip to win the Euros.
