Chelsea's season from hell

I normally don't take much interest in the English Premiership but I can't help but notice the terrible run of results that Chelsea have been on..I see they lost again today 3-1 at home to an average Liverpool team who have been struggling badly themselves to score goals. I watched the build-up to the game this morning on BT Sport and they had at least 6 pundits/former players/managers on discussing Chelsea's woes and none of them thought Mourinho would be under pressure or was in danger of the sack due to his status at the club and what he has achieved in the game...in fact they all to a man blamed the players entirely.

I found this bemusing given the massive outlay in transfer fees they have paid and their astronomical wage bill...Abramovic is as ruthless as they come and IMO Mourinho's coat is on a very shaky peg just now. One other thing which astonished me watching this programme this morning...absolutely nobody mentioned the incident with the club doctor at the start of the season as to being a possible catalyst in the clear breakdown in respect and trust between the players and the manager which IMO has been the main reason their results and performances have plummeted so badly. I think the Chelsea players saw their manager in a different light with that unsavoury incident and have lost respect for him.

How else can a team with so many top class players in it go from being league champions last season to the utter shambles they have been so far this season ? I think it all goes back to that incident with the female club doctor.

I think you're rot GM and much as I detest anything to do with Chelsea, if you are correct I have a certain grudging admiration for the players - grudging also because footballers should never do anything but try and win and Chelsea is about its fans not its manager. Nevertheless if there is some kind of equivalent of work to rule going on to stick it to a bullying manager than there's maybe something redeeming in it. I say this as someone who despite my antipathy to Chelsea used to quite like mourinho until this incident.

Mourhino. ( spookily predictive alters to 'mouthing')
John Terry.

Just two reasons to despise that shower.

Huns of London.

I think Mourhino is a welt, but they tried to bait him in, talking about Lucas and the fact he should have been sent off. Even in the studio they kept mentioning this. Very little was said about the fact Costa should have walked for kicking out at Skrtel on the deck.

JM came back to Chelsea & expected to carry on where he left off.

First thing he needs to do is admit defeat with Costa. Get shot. He's too much like Mourinho himself, acting like a petulant kid.

Missed games already & another suspension coming up for his performance yesterday.

Terry has to go too. Well past his sell by date.

Ivanovic too.

In fact , quite a few need to be shown the door.

Chelsea are running on the spot while their rivals are moving forward.

Not that it would bother me if they ended up in a relegation battle!

I can't believe people think Mourinhio is untouchable at Chelsea. He was sacked before while in a much better position and other managers have done better in Europe during the Russian Revolution under him - Avram Grant got to a European final and the rookie Dominic D'Mateo won the thing!

Not to sure about the doctor incident but you never know the popularity of folk behind the scenes. At the time I thought it was a deflection away from the result, can't believe it went to tribunals and sackings so possibly is a factor.

Pedant alert: Was it not Roberto Di Matteo who went on to get emptied from Schalke 04?

No matter how big your smartphone's screen is, you still have to scroll down to see Chelsea's position in the league table.
