Very sharp as the Mrs Merton shows displayed and The Royle family showed she had many other strings to her bow with the many qualities that brought.
She had a fair few battles with cancer for many years.
I loved the fact the Mrs Merton audience had a lot of her Mother's friends in it and they loved their part in the show (Ann, Roy, Horace).
Down to earth and not a lover of the limelight - refreshing in the current celeb attention seeker climate.
She definitely made her mark!

Wonderful, wonderful talent. Fought Cancer and other demons all her life.

Same here Doc - I watched the tribute episode of Mrs Merton last night and it reminded me of her uncanny knack of putting celebs down in a nice way. Very talented lady indeed.
