Its disappointing to see the gunts snapping him up. I thought he was a cracking player last season

I remember some anguish being shown here when the Gunts signed Yam Fandan from Ross County, and the wee scrote claiming the Gunts would win the league. Well Yam, they came close once they punted you out to Dundee. An over-rated big fish in a wee pond.
I thought Calvin Miller would be a decent signing for us, but I've quickly come to realise he's long since past his best and in fact is a liability. Dodged a bullet there lads.
The exact same argument applies to all the signings referenced by @Hammi above, although I confess I have no idea who he is referencing.
Fcuk the Gunts.

Calvin Miller is 28 year old. He has just been voted Falkirk supporters player of the year. He was the player who made most assists in the SPL last season and a few weeks ago he was getting touted for a Scotland call up. If he is past his best now he must have been some player in the past

Is it?

Don’t think Hibs need a left winger given we’ve already got Jamie McGrath and Nicky Cadden, among others, who could play there. Both of them are far better players.

Doubt he was signed of their much vaunted analytics system either, that’s a McInnes signing all day.

If the gunts signed Harry Kane some folk on here would say he was shite. Let's not pretend its something its not. Miller is a very good player and would improve any SPL team. Left wing back is not McGraths natural position and we need him much more in the middle of the park. Cadden like Obita is very inconsistent

Our very own Joe certainly would :lollol

Calvin Miller isn't a left wing back either.
Attacking left winger. Which, we don't even use wide players beyond a wing back.

Yep. They clearly intend for this season past not to be a blip.

Do I expect Hibs to show similar ambition? Absolutely not. We'll get more Mannehs, Sutos, and the usual raft of loans.

He can play left wing back. Falkirk used him as a attacking winger because thats the style they play

I fear we better get used to it

Falkirk used him in every position except defense this year.
Can see him up front, 1 game, 1 goal, 1 assist.

Not saying he's no a good player, cause I think he is, but if we need a left wing back I'd rather we go for someone natural.

I think we are learning.
Maybe I'll bore the shite out of everyone even more then usual with my thoughts on recruitment policy, why I think it's changing and what I think it should be based on, next time I'm on a long haul flight or a Holyhead - Dublin ferry.

Getting worked up about the farts signing a 28 year old left back from Falkirk is verging on comedic angst.
If he was 19 and ripping up the SPL then that i would understand.

No sure anyone's actually worked up?

Just pointing out they're already getting business done. For players proven to do things in this league.
Not bad business.

Have to agree with Hammi. Nothing to do with those maroon shit stains. Just very tiring watching teams around us get the business done quickly whilst we sit around on our hands.

Get players like Jason Kerr in the door nice and early, get season tickets sales up from excitement.

If Hibs had signed him we would all have been delighted. As the gunts have got him all of a sudden he has become a 28 year old washed up pensioner and the worst player to ever put on a pair of boots... .You've got to love the logic of fitba fans 😃

Miller has had one good season in the Premiership at the age of 28, he’s fine, nothing more, let’s not pretend he’s a world beater. If the gunts signed Ali Dia some folk on here would say he’s the next Messi.

Cadden and Obita can play left wing back if we stick with that, Cadden and McGrath (and arguably Klidje / Suto / Molotnikov) can all play left wing if we change shape. Miller isn’t what our squad needs.

That’s far more the point here, Hibs need to show something after a flat end to the season and to be ready for the Euro qualifiers.

We do seem to leave everything very late. Even last summer (where I thought we pretty did well) Mulligan didn't arrive until the end of June, and Chaiwa was the beginning of August! We were lucky we had McGrath in early on a pre-contract.

On the Gunts - they seem to get their players in early. Scattergun it might be, but it was similar last year and they unearthed a few gems and it nearly won them the league. I noticed they've spent £1M+ on some defender from York City amongst several others.

Gonna be a huge leap for him , can't say he's stood out massively in the few games I've watched

I disagree.
It has everything to do with the farts.
Had this guy signed for Aberdeen there would have been a passing mention.
But the bogey men from gorgie signed him.

Ellie Youan had more goal involvements per 90 minutes than Calvin Miller last season, it's all relative.

Passlack has goal involvements at nearly the same rate, and concedes about half has many goals a game.

Miller has had one good season at the top level at the age of 28, he's a massive risk. Or maybe their analytics is much better than anyone elses?

Im not sure what a goal involvement is but Miller had 33 assists last season the highest in the league. Youan had 1

33 assists?
They only scored 50 goal.

He assisted 9 in the league I'm sure.

32 goals and 37 assists in 132 games for Falkirk though. Not a bad return.

Your right. Im getting his total assists, goals and last seasons assists mixed up

And it will be right at the end of the window too.

Why waste money on players settling in at the club.

For all we know they could have offers in for a dozen players but not had their decisions yet. But that doesn’t fit with the preferred negative narrative, does it?
