Andersons or Bowmans on Gt Junction St.

Both good. Steak Pies out of Andersons are also good, as is the black pudding.

Duly visited before setting off for home this morning. Wasn't going to say no to the Steak Pies either...Cheers mate.

As before there are two butchers almost opposite each other in Great Junction St.Both excellant, the one on the left looking towards north junction st.;ie north-does a really good steak pie, etc, their middle isle has got stuff like beuf bouriginone-it's late at night and i've had a few ciders,so I can't be arsed with correct spelling. You'll get lorne sausage at both,I have found staff very friendly at both,so basically you pays you're money and takes you're choice.:worthy

Lorne sausage on a morning roll with broon sauce washed down with a strong cup of tea does the job..

hope you enjoyed the trip up, good effort.

My catholic taste in music and as a jazzer with a heid full of daft musical facts ....has to point that a Hibs supporting British Trad Jazz trumpet player and legend Alex Welsh of the 50's and 60's Jazz scene was brought up in Lorne Square.
