Euphonium's dad? :lookaround:

Now you've done it

Anyhoo, it's really difficult to think if 5 things for this because I've fulfilled many of life's enjoyments. Here goes though

Aida at Verona Amphitheatre

Waking up to a Scottish republic

Watching the Ruhpolding round of the world Biathlon circuit.

Going to the Munich Oktoberfest

Would love to attend the new year's day concert in Vienna but tickets are like gold dust and I'd be deid before my chance came around

Mostly travel and in the last 4 and a bit years I've knocked shit out the list.

New York
Panama Canal
Costa Rica (although I didn't realise how much it should have been on my list until I got there!)
Mexico
Los Angeles/Hollywood/Santa Monica
Buenos Aires/River Plate
Rio De Janeiro - awesome and then some and then some more!
Trans Atlantic on a ship ⛵
Malta
Venice
Cross the Equator South/North ⛵
San Francisco
Hawaii
Bora Bora
French Polynesia (Tahiti)
Cross the Equator North/South ⛵
Cross the International Date Line ⛵ - lost a day so want to do it the other way to get that day back!! ✈
Trans Pacific ⛵
New Zealand
Australia
Round the World

I went to Jordan as a youngster, 25 ish, and never went to Petra. What a twat! It's true what folk say about do it whatever it is if you get the chance because you'll regret not doing it for a long time.

There's still lots of places I'd like to go to but Petra is a must for me.

Sorry for being a trumpet. A bit of a brass neck :lookaround:

I've done some of my to do things recently in part because big birthdays tend to generate opportunities. I wanted to go to Florence and went last year. Ive been to the Grand Canyon, Red Square and other places i grew up reading about in books. I visited CERN last week and that was one id been keen to do for a while.

Still have one or two things id love to see or do...

New Zealand

Orca watching in Vancouver Sound

Iceland

Meet Chris Hadfield

Walk the Camino de Santiago

I’d like

To see a jets game

Go to Argentina

Skydive

Write the statistical history of hibs

See Bonnyrigg win the junior Scottish

And maybe go back to Mauritius, I loved it there.

Actually, scrub the NYD concert in Vienna.
I'd really like to add visiting the small town of Roosky in Co. Roscommon, Ireland where my ancestors came from. Traced them back to 1750. It'd be like a salmon returning to the source of its spawning

Another one for the Boca v Riverplate Superclassico at the Chocolate Box. Managed to do the El Classico and Der Klassiker in recent years.

Sounds daft but I really want to go to the darts world championships at the Ally Pally

Travelling wise I’ve been lucky to visit some weird & wonderful places with work (some desirable, some not) but I’d love to visit Machu Pichu in Peru, and New Zealand.

Rejoin a band and play a live gig to a decent crowd!

Where you staying on the island? We hired a car because they drive on the left & the island is only 60 odd miles long so we pretty much visited everywhere. I loved it there, just a beautiful place.

Not daft at all - I've done that, and it's a brilliant night!

I've been tempted by this for a few years now, but I dunno whether it would be as good as it looks, or as good as TV companies and Augusta portray it? Seems like the ultimate white guy upper/middle class corporate junket?

Folk I know have Berckmans passes and whilst I'm sure I'd enjoy it to the max, it reeks of exclusivity, a wee bit racism and full of ****s.
A peek inside Augusta Nationals Berckmans Place, where the VIPs frolic - Chicago Tribune

Kinda like playing Trump Aberdeen or Turnberry. I know I'd like it, but I'd feel deeply conflicted all the way round.
