Awright chaps and chapesses

Here's the script:

Ma sister is through from Glasvegas, and isnae drinking this Jan (that fad thing) = designated driver
Ma dad is here from the US, and is keen to buy lunch = forcing lunch on us

So: where's a nice place on the outskirts/just outside of Embra to take a drive out to, to drink beer, eat lunch, preferably with a mahoosive roaring fire?

Try the Flotterstone Inn on the A702 to Biggar. Follow me!

On nicer days there is a barry walk to Hawes Inn, for a jar or 2, that I like to do. Starting at the Cramond Brig Inn, for a jar or 2, cutting through the Dalmeny Estate, there is lovely woodland scenery, shoreline loveliness, interesting castles and country manors, fantastic views to Fife and yonder, coming out under the majestic Forth Bridge, 6 and 3/4 miles later thirsty but not too puggled, sitting outside the Hawes Inn with a cauld yin. Bliss.

Was braw, food excellent. Pleasingly shambolic service, if that makes sense. Recommended.
