The sad old lady of Milan is being demolished. Loved the architecture from the outside, it was so iconic. Was disappointed in the facilities inside on the occasions I've been to games - especially the rank bogs and sweaty cheese pieces on offer as the only food. Will be missed but not missed all at the same time. Glad i was lucky enough to see some fine players grace the park there. And see Roberto Baggios last professional game, which was also there.

An iconic stadium when it was refurbished for the Italia'90 World Cup Finals..... Which I still consider recent ?

This is when you realise how auld you're actually getting!

Possibly THE most iconic moment there was the stolen Vespa Scooter being torched by the Ultra and getting launched off the top tier!?!

Baggio always looked his best in purple
 
Both teams to set up new joint stadium not far away and redevelop the old ground...

...but not till after the newly won Milan Winter Olimpix in '26 acc to local mayor: old stadium will be a mainstay for a few last times then.

Will they keep the current names in the new stadium though...?
 
I've only ever been to Milan once and that was way back in 1992 when I was inter railing around Europe myself and had a couple of days there. I went out to see the San Siro but in those days you couldn't do a stadium tour there, so I never saw the inside of it. It looked an incredible building from the outside. Shame it's coming down but progress and all that.

Huns of Italy yeah right cos we're all bigots, Don't think so.
The Glasgow huns are a breed of their own. Don't tar Juve and Rangers with the same brush.

That was the Italy v Scotland game that ended 2-0 wasnt it? I was there also.
