Accidents on Motorways are inevitable. This is not doom & gloom. It is a fact.
Weather conditions, driver [in]ability, differing speeds & the amount of different sized vehicles. & So many more factors mean that people will have accidents. Big ones too.
Some want the speed increased to 80mph. Madness. A large percentage of motorway users already drive at 80mph+.
I don't know the solution, but increasing the speed isn't it.

Motorways are the safest road per something or other. Its the country road per something or other that are the big killers.

The roads are fine,it's the drivers that aren't safe...

Quite right and thank you for correcting me, there's mechanical failure too :-)

Shit drivers are more likely to add to the statistics on country type roads than they are on motorways ;-)
