HIBERNIAN AGREE PRE-CONTRACT WITH SCOTT ALLAN

I just can’t see us paying money for him when we know Celtic are desperate to get rid of him. The only reason Celtic won’t pay him off or loan him out to us is spite over not getting McGinn.

HIBERNIAN AGREE PRE-CONTRACT WITH SCOTT ALLAN

I think a loan would only be a goer if we paid some of his wages. The only benefit to Celtic in a payoff is that they save money. A loan with us paying some of his wages means they save money and he doesn’t get to play against them. If I’m being honest though I think hibs will do nothing and...

HIBERNIAN AGREE PRE-CONTRACT WITH SCOTT ALLAN

Celtic might prefer to loan him to us. That means he can’t play against them, but he can play against all the other teams. That way they wouldn’t have to give him a payoff and he could still be of some use to them in the last six months of his contract. It all depends on whether they’ve still...

Get in there. Hope to fuck we can get him in this month though.

I think it’s the make it look like we’re listening to the supporters box. It might not be a requirement, but it looks good when the agm comes around.

Box ticking nonsense. I won’t be wasting my time voting this time. Maybe we should be voting for a SLO that isn’t answerable to the board and isn’t bound by boardroom rules and regulations.

    McLaren Scores

He missed a sitter before he scored. Watching with the Arabic commentary is brutal.

    Hibs Finances and Strategy

I completely agree that very few of the academy players will make the grade, but I’m sure quite a few could step in and provide cover. That’s a better approach than paying wages to players to provide cover that we pretty much know won’t improve the team or be at the club beyond their contract...

    Hibs Finances and Strategy

Yes it’s all speculation as none of us know exactly what the players are earning or how much to he budget is. It’s just frustrating that we never seem to be able to build on any success we have

    Hibs Finances and Strategy

Agreed it’s a management decision, but I’m sure the management would rather we held on to our better players for longer than we do. Having McGinn and McGeouch on longer deals would’ve cost us more in the short term, but made us more when they eventually do move on. There’s less risk in paying...

    Hibs Finances and Strategy

Fair enough, but even allowing for that we still signed two players as cover in the summer who barely played. Most of the time the guys stepping up from the youth team are better than the cover we’re signing. Porteous and Mackie being recent examples. Keeping hold of our better players for a bit...

    Hibs Finances and Strategy

Maybe the answer is to have a smaller squad. We seem to sign quite a few players who never even play. There’s obviously some risk associated with having a smaller squad, but surely that’s why we invest so much money in youth development.

No I don’t think it’s been confirmed yet. I read it on Twitter that the injury was going to need surgery.

FRASER MURRAY OUT TO MAKE UP FOR LOST TIME

I’ve always liked the look of young Fraser. The club obviously think very highly of him as well. Time for him to kick on.

Well if the pressure wasnt on before, it is now.....

Do you not think that if we’d kept all three and added a few new players, we might have been able to challenge for the league. Killie are still up there this season and the form table from January to the end of the season had us top. In recent years we’ve had two chances to challenge, the first...

Well if the pressure wasnt on before, it is now.....

Our failure to get players in the last window has put extra pressure on this window. We need to avoid panic signings. It was always likely to take at least two windows to replace the quality that left, but we’ve wasted one already and with Efe leaving we’re now in a worse position.

    EFE AMBROSE DEPARTURE CONFIRMED

Gutted to see the big guy leaving. Hanlon and Porteous will be a good pairing at the back, but our centre backs seem to be very injury prone. Does anyone know if there’s anyone in the youth team ready to make the step up?

    EMERSON HYNDMAN RETURNS TO BOURNEMOUTH

Another player who has ability but doesn’t have the desire to back it up. Slivka is much the same. Talent isn’t enough.

    That looked Efe like...

He’s a poor mans Marvin Bartley imo. He couldn’t play at ibrox, but he was fine to start for Australia a few days later. Hopefully he’ll come good, but I’m not holding my breath.

    That looked Efe like...

I’ll be gutted if he goes, he’s been one of the few shining lights in a disappointing season so far.

Is there any pictures of the display? I missed the kick off due to being told by the police that I couldn’t use the path at the back of Sainsbury’s.

Just Back and we robbed them......

I think we deserved our point. Their goal came from a mistake and we had plenty chances to score ourselves. Bogdan made a few saves, but not one of them were saves you wouldn’t expect him to make. I didn’t get a ticket so I watched on hun tv, and they weren’t saying they were robbed. Bring on...
