Not so good that one.And another
Sounds like karaoke.

I can only speak about AC/DC until Bon Scott died but you are well wide of the mark with your style assessment. Was ACDC a leader or follower with formulaic soft rock music in a camp stylie? Gotta admit I never felt the urgr to play air guitar or let my hair descend into a greasy mullet.
Bon Scott DC and Johnson DC are totally different bandsI can only speak about AC/DC until Bon Scott died but you are well wide of the mark with your style assessment.
In the time time they were an unsubtle heavy rock band with the main focus on singer Bon Scott gruff vocals and Gibson SG toting Angus Young in his trademark school uniform. By the time Scott died I was 19 and had grown out of them although anytime I saw them on TV their schtick seem similar to the Bon Scott days.
In the thick twat box with Sid Vicious.Any yous watched GG Allin and the Murder Junkies last show?
GG od'd and popped his clogs no long after this show.
It's the last song of the show.
It's er em oh just watch it....
Bite It You Scum
I have to say I enjoyed very much the videos posted by @Dub. Watched them a couple of timesNot so good that one.
Sounds like karaoke.
Johnson was the singer in an average 70's rock band called Geordie. I was surprised how well it worked out for him but I never listened to them after Scott died. I was 19 and had cut my teeth on rock and punk and was ready to move on to something more arty and celebral.Bon Scott DC and Johnson DC are totally different bands
I liked the 1st cover Dub posted but the 2nd vocal doesn't mesh on the 2nd.I have to say I enjoyed very much the videos posted by @Dub. Watched them a couple of times
If I have time later I’ll watch them again with the sound on.

Who gives a fuck. Did you miss the "Easy on the eye" mention in the previous post? Not so good that one.

The guitar riff is the star.
Nah, I saw that and watched the "Back in Black" cover right through and liked the cover and the girl.Who gives a fuck. Did you miss the "Easy on the eye" mention in the previous post?
It's a decent cover but if you want to hear the best Bon DC covers...The guitar riff is the star.
Here are Geordie on German TVThey weren’t even average
Not great. Bon DC miles better than Johnson DC imoHere are Geordie on German TV
Johnson's barnet was still healthy pre AC/DC
As a teenager I couldn't believe he got the gigNot great. Bon DC miles better than Johnson DC imo
Covers bands are a massive growth area. Some of the ones that look to replicate the sound are amazing. The ones going more for the look tend to be far less impressive. It's a decent cover but if you want to hear the best Bon DC covers...
German lady with a great band.
That's a nice cheery start to the day...makes Leonard Cohen sound like The Cheeky Girls...
Love Lou Reed / VUI think Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, Lou Reed (Berlin period) covering Gilbert O'Sullivan's Alone Again Naturally would have been a sure fire hit.
You listened to anything by The Pernice Brothers? That's a nice cheery start to the day...makes Leonard Cohen sound like The Cheeky Girls...
I used to quite like them until someone pointed out to me, most of their hits are just novelty songs with a decent singer and some good guitar work.Queen were a very Marmite band for me. Couldn't stand some songs, loved others. This is brilliant...
Lou Reed covering alone again! Never knew this existed....have to give it a listen. ThanksI think Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, Lou Reed (Berlin period) covering Gilbert O'Sullivan's Alone Again Naturally would have been a sure fire hit.
The previous bands apart from Lou just not for me. Just shows how tastes differ as I'm not into Berlin at all whereas I love NY, Coney Island Baby, Blue Mask, Transformer. Saw Lou many times, always had a top top band. You listened to anything by The Pernice Brothers?
Have you seen the new documentary about the Velvets?Love Lou Reed / VU
Yes, saw a few docs over the years. Privileged to see them at the Playhouse in 92 or 93 without Googling, mesmerising.Have you seen the new documentary about the Velvets?
There's a new album being released of very early VU demos from May 1965.Love Lou Reed / VU
My favourite Lou Reed solo album is Berlin. The previous bands apart from Lou just not for me. Just shows how tastes differ as I'm not into Berlin at all whereas I love NY, Coney Island Baby, Blue Mask, Transformer. Saw Lou many times, always had a top top band.
Lou Reed A Life is a fantastic book.My favourite Lou Reed solo album is Berlin.
I read a biography about him and it appears he was a very difficult person.
I mind reading that the West Coast had peace and love hippies.
But the East Coast had constant hard drug references.
The VU spat with Frank Zappa is quite comical though.
